Looking for a new gig. I have just over 20 years in tech, mostly enterprise, but for the past 5 years I've been leading sofrware architecture at a startup that's close to unicorn status now. I want to move into a smaller shop (around 50-150 FTE) as chief architect or CTO (hands on, mixing business strategy and some level of coding). Anyone know of a company that's in need of someone with my background? Base salary is 275k.

BC, any outlook or positions your holding for Jan/Feb timeframe?

Checking in after being away for 8 or so months. Damn…all OGs se fue except for one or two.

Cliffs Notes:
-Stock mkt gets choppy, down 10% at worst as we transition from an inflation panic to a growth scare
-Inflation expectations and bond yields fall
-Fed remains very aggressive (duh)
-We go back to low growth and low inflation
-Bull mkt led by growth stocks resumes
-don’t buy shitcos, doubly same for shit tier SPACs (most of them out there for those not paying attention)

Thoughts on Roku?

People who are long FAANG, do any of the government lawsuits coming worry you(antitrust/monopoly, content, etc) as a long term shareholder? I figure most of these tech companies may get a slap on the wrist but understand the risks. Heck, most of these senators are invested in these companies and are they really going to break up companies like Amazon & Facebook? Seems like they would establish an extremely dangerous precedent

Been doing a little performance review of the last 6 months and it’s interesting what’s worked for me. Best trade was short TLT. Next best trade was the run on GBTC this week. I’ve also done well on the big cryptos, commodities and the reflation trade. At the same time my SPAC and growth book is basically flat over the last 6 months. Don’t get locked in on a single idea or theme. Be willing to admit you’re wrong and trim a losing position. Try new things and listen to new voices. Best of luck.

Options newbie here. Need opinion on trade: MSFT Nov15 150 calls for 0.45. Is it a good play?

Think like a machine. Growth names getting hammered second day in a row. This is a good opportunity to get in at a discount or get in for a bounce. Risk reward is much better than last week. To those selling, ask yourself what would it take for you to buy if you had cash sitting on the sidelines. Also a reminder, don't YOLO. The market gives opportunities, you just have to be ready for them.
