I would totally be on the dark side...the Empire is clearly run by consultants. Design a highly expensive solution that takes years to build and then is easily blown up by a scrappy competitor as soon as it is finished. Response? Build the exact same thing again and hope it works better next time...the new version is behind schedule and over budget and is quickly blown up again despite the Lead Partner being on hand to supervise.

Hello fellow HR pros! I really need your opinions on HR certifications. I am deciding between PHR and SHRM-cp. I have read just about all there is online comparing the two and can not decide. My heart is telling me PHR, my mother in law (an HRBP) is telling me to go with SHRM, as it’s more widely recognized, more established and a larger network in general. I recently a week ago i joined legato and in induction i heard that around 18 applications are migrated from mainframe to cloud and all the applications will be moved to cloud by Jan 2024.

Any idea for anyone, after migration will company upskill a mainframe employees to new technology?

I just picked up my 8 week old goldendoodle pup and brought him home 3 hours ago (4pm). He had dinner and had a potty accident before and after dinner. He looks really sad and does not want to interact besides wanting to cuddle up and lay down in my lap. I’m a little worried but also wonder if it’s coz he really hasn’t napped much since the time I picked him up at the breeder at 1pm. Could he be sick? Should I be worried. When I took him outside for potty breaks he just huddled away and sat 😥

Need help deciding if this offer is worth moving for. Received an offer from Booz Allen Hamilton for an Associate level Sr. Systems Engineer in Los Angeles for $135k base. I countered $150k and a $15k singing bonus and asked if I could be brought on as a lead associate since I've been a lead/manager for a while in my current company.

Current company TC: $125k in Utah.
YOE: 7 with M.S. and MBA

Is the switching cost/risk and higher COL worth it?
