Walk down to the cafeteria to get coffee and a client is just rolling in with a novel in hand. This guy also leaves at 330 every day. Industry, God bless.
Mba hires, are you jealous of your ug hire coworkers? I mean they’re doing it younger and have the flexibility to not pay for the mba
Hi everyone, I have an hr discussion with Siemens on Monday. With current CTC 9.1 LPA, can I ask for 20 lpa fixed component(I'll be joining within 30 days) will there be any joining bonus. If yes, will hr inform me or should I ask about it explicitly. Ps: I have offer letter in hand with 15.5 fixed + variable as per company performance from EY. 6 more interviews are in HR discussion or offer release stage. Any thoughts welcome
So, super weird question: Others often consider me the "smartest person in the room" but I love being challenged and called out when I'm wrong. Is this weird? Is there a term to describe this (other than obnoxious)? Asking here because for some reason in our culture it's super taboo to talk about how smart we are and we're all supposed to pretend we're less intelligent than we are too avoid looking arrogant or making others feel inferior.
Looking for advice on the next step. So I started at my company just over 2 years ago as an entry level Sales admin with a split role and at the beginning of this year I moved fully into Sales Support and I'm kind of at a point where I coordinate and support the activity of my team, I fully process all orders and manage/maintain our CRM system, provide monthly & quarterly reports for our senior management team. Is this it? Am I at the top end of this role and need to ask for more progression?
Tuck vs Ross ($$) goal is MBB or big tech
I work in a Rep Services Call Center for an Insurance/ Investment Company. Currently I'm pursuing my MBA at Western Governors University and I plan to get my Series 7 after my MBA so I can get out of the Call Center and advance my career. I'm looking for some advice / guidance/ideas for growth opportunities from here. I'd like to hear about good experiences and bad experiences people have had in this industry, where did you start, how did you grow from there, what licenses do you have, ect.
The only thing that would convince me to join a union was if I was deeply and strongly attacked in any way at work, and needed legal help bad. What about you?
Slalom 🐠: Tell me about the Client Service Leader position. What does this equate to on in the traditional firms (ACN, B4). Also, any ideas on comp other than Glassdoor would be helpful. Thanks!
Has anyone made the move to another B4 as a Manager or young SM to make partner/excel at that new firm? Wondering if the internal network is worth more than a 50% raise at a competing B4.
What is the salary range for a PwC Workday Financials Consultant - Financial Services at senior associate level? I have 4 YOE and a CPA. Looking at Raleigh NC.
When switching firms PWC>KPMG or vice versa, whats the best way to go about making the switch? Should I randomly apply, get a referral, or talk to a recruiter?
Gifting etiquette - how much do you spend $ on gifts for baby showers? For context; the baby shower will be at home and my friend is more of an acquaintance since I recently moved cities
Align to non-M&A offering but do a lot of work in the space (DD, integrations). B4 recruiter reached out and wants me to provide resume for review with hiring partner in M&A space. Does it work if I provide a bio with summary of M&A projects (client names removed) instead of a traditional resume? Also plan to list education and past experience but primary focus on recent M&A work
So hammed on a 5 hour flight right now with so much work I should be doing but 🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼
Are you supposed to save up for an MBA or do most people finance it with loans? I have loans from UG too.
