I am starting an outsourcing IT Support company, and I want to hire people with autistic spectrum, since I am autistic myself. I would like to know if anyone is interested to invest on it, or if anyone would like to hire our services. The company is based in Colombia. Our website is repshome.com

I think Bumble also has a professional networking feature now too.. crowded space it seems.
Have you checked out GLG or AlphaSights or one of the many expert networks?
I think it’s a neat idea. Idk if something like this already exists but if it doesn’t then I think your friend is on to something

And....
Then
The advisors / mentors etc can either provide their time for free or for a rate and the scheduling / payment and video-calling is all integrated with the website. He’s doing a friend and family round and approached me. Have high respect for him. He’s definitely capable. Really smart guy. Site is still in beta, but want to get thoughts from the 🐟 fam to help me decide if to go in on this round. Stealth website is www.outvisory.com. Thoughts on the idea, execution, viability?
Don’t Evisors and The Lobby do just this? What’s your buddy’s competitive advantage?
Thx 🐟- the pitch is that most expert networks are geared towards project work and that this is for quick “On Demand” access to professionals and mentors etc. ie people who want to “tap” into their knowledge and make live connections -think of it as teledoc for industry professionals and experts
The problem with all of this is that consulting depends on relationships. Relationships are built into the incentive model. That's why big firms almost never get totally new clients and when they do, it's so weird.
There are substantial portions of big consulting firms who would flat out reject would-be clients bc they dgaf about the money unless it also conveys a relationship. Also, it's nearly impossible to get a stranger to actually pay an invoice for a consulting fee.
P1 - I see interesting Pov. I’m wondering though. His platform is not geared for consulting work. It’s really about the quick connections. A lot of what happens on here with ppl dropping burners to connect about specific jobs/ industries / experience
Craigslist or ebay for professionals? Like "hey, I've got a supply chain analysis deck that you can have for $5,000, sight unseen, use at your own risk, as-is"?
Could work if it had a really robust rating system built up, but you see how a marketplace with a listing for a supply chain strategy deck would become a total scam fest overnight.
Consulting firms charge $400/hr sustainably because they check a lot of boxes:
Vetted, superior quals, i.e. reputation of b schools
Reputatipnal risk stakes in engagement outcomes
Financial stakes in success
Consulting Demons says it best -- consultants maximize value when they maximize their own take burdened on the success of the business.
GLG and many more do this. Apart from that VCs are not a fan of consulting/non-product related ideas. Harder to scale
Check out shapr.co
@sa1, I think VCs would go for an effective marketplace for eventual exit to a larger staffing/consulting company, but the idea of getting funding for consulting is kind of a paradox. The idea is you sell your service and experience and you scale by increasing your rates and possibly growing a team. M&A and IPOs the consulting world are not normal.
There is a site called Clarify with similar idea - check it out!
