A buddy of mine from b-school recently went missing. I hadn’t heard from him in a while, but I know he was constantly stressed-out and overworked as an investment banker. Passed the message on to everyone who might have been in touch with him, and that’s all I figure I can do to help. Thinking that most cases like this don’t end well and can’t stop thinking about it.

Mental health & work: How comfortable are you with sharing your mental health struggles with your manager? For example, those with depression, do you find yourself hiding your tough days from your team or are you open about it? I always feel like I’ll be misunderstood & labeled so I always lie about the reason when I do call out.

I am a woman with pretty severe ADHD. I’ve taken medicine pretty much every day since I was diagnosed as a child. Currently I take Vyvanse with 10 mg Adderall. Even with the medicine, I sometimes I feel like I’m barely a functioning adult. My SO and I maybe want kids but I’m terrified of 1) do I have to stop medicine while pregnant and breast feeding, 2) could I even do my job without medicine, and 3) could I really take care of a baby?!? I’d love to hear other’s experiences or thoughts! Thanks!

Hello everyone, I’m an international student in Canada, I graduated from college and now I’m working a job that is killing me. I get very anxious at my workplace because the work conditions make the job more dangerous, & the workload usually gets my sugar levels either very high or very low (I have T1D). I’ve been working on a professional certificate in order to switch careers, but every time I just feel so depressed & I can only think of kill myself.

I just want to get better & enjoy life.

How does someone work when you are not at peace emotionally?

Why the heck WLB is so bad in ZS across all projects, why cant senior leadership do something about it when they know it is the major reason many talented candidates are declining their offer.
Infact I have seen in few interviews, they upfront warn candidates/interviewees about working hours and ask them if they are ready to work long hours. Is this even ethical?
