Is she really racist or just extremely uniformed? I don’t think I would report her as racist. However, I would find a way to suggest sensitivity training for the company or at least the department in which the two of you work.
Is it her job to bring you coffee? I only asked because it didn’t seem like something she would do if she was racist unless she has to. And if she doesn’t have to this seems extra weird.
Absolutely not. She got me coffee today because I got her coffee a couple of weeks ago. It’s weird because she does nice things for me. She’s just says inappropriate things occasionally
I agree with A4. If she’s doing something nice for you I’d be hard pressed to jump to racism though I know the two are not unrelated. But I will say the reference to disabilities in this thread is a bit unnerving.
I threw it away! But mainly because she brought it to me around 4pm and I stop drinking coffee around 12. I don’t think she would do anything to my coffee though. That would be crazy even for her!!! Lol
Wow, first off I’m sorry. Second, I would report this to HR. That person gone learn today
I agree. I would def report it. That is ridiculous.

I would’ve said “Actually I identify as white” just to see how she responded.
Sorry, OP. I’d report her to HR. It’s inappropriate especially if this is ongoing behavior.

That is so beyond bizarre. Why do people act like this.
It really is so weird.
Why do people make nonsensical connections to race? Like it's always on the tip of their tongue?? 😵💫
Nothing a good smack won’t solve

She even brought me lasagna today for lunch
Are you sure she viewed the comment the same way you do?
Idk, if s/he doesn’t have an autistic ID card, let HR do it’s job and offer training on how to work well and professionally w diverse groups.

I wouldn't drink the coffee.
