A close friend joined Accenture about a month ago and was placed on a project that seems really demanding (all day meetings, working around the clock, 7am meetings but also 8pm meetings). Is this typical for all engagements or is he unlucky?

Hi, Im interested to know the visa process for Australia on-site opportunity. I have been asked for CV before visa initiation. If anybody is aware of the process, could you please help me understanding the steps of visa process in TCS?
Will the visa be initiated by the management or by employee?
Also Project took management approvals for the on-site position when I joined the project, apart from this is there anything additional that’s required that can be time taking process before actual visa?

Does lateraling to MBB from another firm (ex. T2 / Big 4 / Boutique) impact project opportunities and your “sense of worth” to clients compared direct hires? Or generally no impact, because you went through the same rigorous process + are generally equally as capable.

So that is the first reason and no new tech learning and project change happening with me. Also in last cycle they didn't give good rating bcoz i was asking for new project ..??

Hi guys, After CAF completion by last week, yesterday I received a call from the HR for the second round of evaluation. So, I attended it yesterday and performed well by answering 90-95% of the questions. Even the interviewer gave good comments on my performance. But suddenly today I received an email that my candidature isn't suitable for the role and they're keeping my profile in the database. Does this mean they'll call me if there are openings with some other project?

I never thought about going back to school post-undergrad, but the curriculum looks very relevant to my day-to-day client work, doesn’t require a GMAT, and it’s entirely online. I have an offer to move client side and help them on their implementation of Workday (current implementation Consultant) as their HCM Admin. Pay is much better (about 30k more than now, currently make 72) - but my husband told me to think about it because it’s so easy to get promoted and shine in my current role. I’ve been told I’m top of my level and doing everything right. Do I stay and advance to Principal/Manager for resume or go to Client Side for major company to help them?

My husband is an alcoholic and it’s getting worse with the holidays. He’s started every day drinking high alcohol-content IPAs as early as 8am. And he drinks them all day and all night like soda. He did AA when he was younger but is now vehemently against it. He is high-functioning. Has a PhD from MIT and works for a venture capitalist firm. I wondered how he gets through the day, but he started to come home early (mid-afternoon) and immediately open a beer while working. What should I do?

The base is not changing much for me. I am Senior Managing Consultant at IBM.

Never saw IBM giving 10% bonus for last 10 years anyway. But heard Accenture gives 15K roughly to SM.

Tried to negotiate but Accenture is not willing to change base. They added 10K in RSU and Joining to make 40 each.

Any reviews about ACN S&C - Risk & Compliance practice? Recently got an offer for level 7, looks like they are ramping up huge.

Is location transfer at the firm a “process”? Or can you just inform the firm that you’re traveling to another city (where Accenture exists) and just make the move?

Would anyone be able to shed some light on the case portion for roles within tech strategy (TS)? Are these in-line with traditional cases (GTM, profitability, market sizing etc.) or technology cases (frameworks centric - PPT, IITL, CMMI, etc.). Appreciate any guidance!
