Lol I laugh at people who speak this way. It’s such a poor look. Is he saying he couldn’t compete with his white peers so he’s blaming black people instead? How is that ever a good look?!! It’s always underachievers that have these unfounded complaints. Your colleague = 🤡
First, how does he know they’re unqualified? Reminds me of that Georgetown Law professor who said whatever black woman Biden chose for the Supreme Court would be under qualified compared to anyone else. People tend to believe if they lose something to a black person, it HAS to be because of a diversity hire, not because they can cope with a black person being better than them. That’s some hardcore fragility right there. You should report him.
I meant white fragility and insecurity. I figured the racism part was obvious and didn’t need to be reiterated multiple times.

Go you the MBA subreddit and you’ll see this sentiment. What I don’t understand is if black people are getting all these spots then why are there so few black people?????? Make it make sense
Losers will always find a way to blame others for their own failure
Is this a pattern of behavior or a one-off comment from someone not talented at dealing with rejection?
Race is undeniably a component of the admissions process in higher education, and it's certainly understandable to feel upset when you feel the reason for your rejection is coming up on the wrong side of a policy which favors other applicants based on immutable characteristics beyond your control.
If it's a single comment I'd probably write it off as someone not being their best self in a moment of understandable frustration.

Except he said “unqualified blacks”. That moves his statement from feeling upset over the factor race plays in admissions to just being racist.
When someone shows you who they are, believe them.

Report this to Employee Relations. This sh1t needs to be stamped out.

Ugh that’s so scary. And your concerns are right. People like him harbor all of these feelings of internalized (well not even internalized) racism and get promoted everyday and spread their hate wherever they go. Not sure how you could bring this up but if there is a way to expose it, I would.

Ask him questions and let him do all the heavy lifting
It’s so true tho. You think POC or minorities would see right through this type of stuff and be angry that they are getting patronized. I’m Asian by the way from mainland but I see the frustration of white friends and black friends
Also please leave your black friends, if they actually exist, out of this because I’m positive they aren’t having these hard uncomfortable conversations with you 🙃
