A colleague/friend invited me to spend thanksgiving with his family. It was a wonderful trip and I’m so thankful for the kindness! Any ideas for good thank you gifts, for him and for his mama?

A hand written letter, addressed to his family (mother, ideally) would be perfect, along with a printed photograph you took of you with the family if you have one.

The question is, is graduation from law school, not minimum competency? With this line of reasoning we are saying that law schools do not produce competent future lawyers, so should we instead switch to a system of taking the bar without the three years of a measure that frankly bar associations have deemed not an adequate measure? Dash this comment aside if it is fallible, but there is something here that has been overlooked. Competence is not regurgitation and memorization.
