My firm is giving out surprise mid year bonuses to associates hitting the prorated annual bonus cutoff. I had a major injury for which I worked through treatments for about 3 months Jan-March. I didn’t take any time off, but I did set hard boundaries to make it to PT and medical appointments and not overwhelm myself. I’m off by 50+ hours to the target to receive bonus. Do I say something about being ineligible for the bonus or let it slide since it’s a big gap?
Okay so I started at my new company a few months ago and was able to negotiate for a higher salary. A second person for the same position/level was hired a month after me...(cont.)
Hi people, I am going to have the interview with TRS - Financial services team at EY london. This job is basically assesing the Non-performance loans portfolios of the banks. The recruiters said it will be a case study lasting for 2.5 hours. The case will not be given in advance. They only said it is a about a fictious bank. Any one in this group has any suggestions or thoughts about this upcoming case study?
Please vote for which you’d realistically / actually want (and why). Context is mid-30s for me, FYI. Either a) $800k total comp, but work 70-80 hrs a week and content / work you genuinely don’t care about, b) $500k and work you care about / want to do long term but still working ~70 hrs/wk, c) $300-350k work you care about and want to do long term, working 25-40 hrs/wk (so plenty of time for other hobbies, fam, etc). In all 3 (a,b,c) you’re not allowed to have another income stream / side gig.
A few friends of mine were contacted by a recruiter but I wasn’t. They sent the link for the application and I ended up applying to that role around a week ago. Is there still a chance or not? Mind you: they got the invite for the hireview a day or two after applying
Does anyone know any good admission consultants that have a free first session? I'm looking to find out whether applying in R2 with a quite decent but not outstanding profile is a terrible idea. Aggregating a few options from them would be really useful!
Hi folks - we're a small company just under 100 people almost evenly split between employees and consultants across North America and APAC. We're looking to implement a new HR system that we can start to leverage for onboarding, comp & benefits, payroll (pay slips/tax), reporting capabilities etc. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance! :)

Anyone in Accenture sales and price performance group? They reached out and I really just want to understand if this is a good opportunity to pursue. Hello Fishes. I have received positive feedback from KPMG interviews for consultant position and have submitted documents. It has been 4 days since I haven't received any call for negotiation or offer letter. How long does it take to get that? Has anyone faced that much delay in getting KPMG offer letter/call for negotiation?
Got a message saying I could change my United flight with no change fee because of an itinerary change. I checked and there are fully refundable rates I could change to (current rate is not fully refundable). Couldn't I change it to a fully refundable rate then... Get a full refund? What's the catch? Is it that normally you would pay $200 change fee to go to a fully refundable fare? In that case it still seems better than losing your entire fare in the case you really can't make a flight.
Why is pharma/healthcare unpopular? Have seen a few things in the bowl and just curious!

Hey all! Interviewing and need some insights about accepting a non-tech product marketing job. I currently work in SaaS but was offered a higher paying job in educational publishing. It’s a non-tech product marketing role. I want to take the job but I don’t know if moving out of tech would be a bad move for a product marketer? Would it be harder to pivot back to tech?

I’m turning 30 in a month. My boyfriend and I have talked about getting engaged but I’m not sure when he’ll propose (probably after the pandemic is over when we can go on trips safely). I’m realizing that if he waits until after the pandemic, it’s going to be at least a year until the actual wedding. Then I had always planned on being married for a few years before getting pregnant. I’m having major fertility anxiety. Any advice?
MBB vs IB vs Biglaw. I only hear biglaw people complaining a lot about stress etc. Is it really so much more stressful than the other two?
