Can anybody at Spotify tell me a bit about the application security interview process? Just put in an application for the position and would like any sort of insights on who they are looking for. There was no specific qualifications for the experience they're looking for besides being very general. Could I have a shot with 1 YOE in a direct app sec engineering role?

Tests and weighten application blanks in general can be an excellent way to screen candidates - if the instruments have criteron validity for prediction success in the role.
This sounds like a Conscientiousness test. The recruiter might have pulled out a form when you declined the voice test.
Not ideal for sure and this test is not likely a valid predictor of your potential success as a candidate for this position
Wouldn’t catch me filling this out in a million years. Move on
I second this. It’s insulting AND a waste of time. I would never submit a W2, or even say what I’m currently making. Hard pass.

What role did you apply for?
In any case, I would never complete those "tests" nor fill out these questions either. Also, in my job search of 15 years, none of the companies have ever asked for a previous year's W2.
Walk away, you can find a better culture and better company. They're not it for you

Looking into the questions more closely —
"Do you clean up after yourself in common areas?"
"Have you ever falsely claimed expenses for reimbursements?"
"Have you ever taken sick time for reasons other than illness due to personal behavior decisions (eg excessive drinking)?
These questions tells me more about the company's culture trauma and their past employee history, and that's all I need to pass on 'Impact Technologies'.

The questionnaire seems stupid but whatever. You’re allowed to ask stupid questions. The w2 is where they lose me. That’s none of their business.
Asking for w2 seems sketch especially if it’s on indeed. I wouldn’t do it you’re giving away your personal info before hire
W2 request is a red flag do not share period offer or not.
Got it. I'm walking away! Thanks all
Red flag! Run
What the hell is that? That's not tech hiring standard. That's like hiring an entry level worker with this level of micromanagement. Do not continue, this shows that the company and its management seem to deal with or focus on weird minor issues. Are they hiring teenagers in a mall or something? Cause that's the kind of questions you ask random entry level teenager who never worked before.
Why bother? This is dumb as hell
W2 is only relevant at the offer negotiation stage if they are offering less than you deserve
Oh my god - did you wipe the dust off that ancient form …seriously run a mile
I think I’d check all the far right boxes, attach a “w2” created in crayon, and then ask, “when do I start”?
I would not attach w2. Seems like a security risk and a red flag.
Run away.
W2 is so they can short you your actual worth of the job. Run away
The form is just unbelievable, probably illegal too. W2 doesn’t say anything to me but judging from the comments sounds like an income or tax report which would have nothing to do with the potential new employer. Run fast.
Lmao wtf?

Asking for W2 is very sketchy especially during the interview phase, most companies ask to see W2 post acceptance of offer as part of the background check .
I would move on.
That's a NO for me. It's risky and fishy at the same time. Good thing you didn't attach your w2.
