A few months ago I was told “you deserve a rais, but I’m not going to give you one” instead I got offered bonus’s that’s I have yet to see. I also have not had a raise in 2 years, and was told “let me think about it” when asked about moving up in roles, and have not heard back. Any suggestions on what I should do, or what I should say in my meeting about a pay increase?

I’m applying to jobs in a high COL area and am currently living in a low COL area. I plan to stay in the low COL area and work remotely until offices open back up which won’t happen this year. As I’m interviewing and negotiating salary, I want to be reasonable and fair. Should I negotiate 2 salaries, a lower salary for the time i work remotely in a low COL area and then a higher salary for when I relocate to the high COL area?

I’ve been offered a position that I’m really excited about. Their initial offer was 10K more than the top of the salary range they gave me for the position when I asked during the interview process and at the top end of the salary requirements I set for myself. My partner thinks I should still negotiate for more even though I’m happy with the offer. Am I an idiot if I don’t negotiate in this case? How valid do you all think Glassdoor salary ranges are? Backstory; old company was acquired by a new company week 1 of my employment. (3 years ago). Was poking around at the salary ranges for my position and it seems I am vastly being underpaid. I don’t even know where I would begin to start this conversation with my boss or HR. I have a serious question regarding this because time is running out. I quit my job last year on Nov 5. I had about two weeks of PTO accrued and I wasn’t paid out my PTO. Head of new TA team said they’ll work with me to find a position that fits - the process I went through was “grossly mishandled”. Keep telling me that not even managers make what I’m asking for. Asking for 75k min for 30+ caseload. How do I push them on it? is even worth it?
