Hi fishes,
Does any one know why cant tcs help their employees to make international transfer ?whats the exact issue?
Even when I am handling all the cost by my own. I have applied for canada PR and profile is under express entry pool.now if tcs gives me transfer letter then it will be very easy and quick for me to receive an invitation.but they are not at all ready to help their valuable and honest employees.is there any escalation matrix that i can follow? I appreciate your response or suggestions.

EP, I’ve been a senior producer, exec producer, head of production. As a staffer, these titles and roles hold great meaning. Not so, as a freelance producer. As a freelancer, I stick with senior producer, despite my years of experience. It gets me the high day rate and I believe it gets me way more work than if I went in as an EP. I don’t experience much micromanagement but when I do, it’s invariably from people who are clearly less experienced than I am. And they know it. They just don’t want to be shown up by you or be left out of the loop. Remember how much you’re making and enjoy the fact that they have to sweat the politics, you don’t. This is mostly your ego talking. Give it a break and feed it a hefty day rate. You can struggle with position jockeying when you go back on staff.
I agree, when freelance it’s easier to simplify titles. I was Sr content prod when staff but the Sr seemed to be spooking recruiters so I made it just producer. I get approached more often for calls I think. And no one reads anymore even though it’s clear as day on my CV. All they see is the Linked in headline.

Generally senior producers shouldn’t have an EP micro managing them, no? Sounds more like an issue with this particular person/place than a role issue. Who is mandating the check ins?
Wait so you’re freelancing as EP and the check-ins are with another EP? Are they on your team, assigned to you for transition purposes?
And is the EP you have check-ins with your manager? Or someone who is just injecting themselves into your project?
We are searching for a freelance EP to work on our national retail furniture brand. ping me at celiaweeks@sjp.com if you're interested. Can be remote.
oy. who needs that at this time. life is stressful enough. communicate communicate communicate.
Thank you, everyone. Appreciate you.

Are you working with a PM? If yes, use that person to help schedule meetings. At some point, you have to do your job in spite of her micro managing bs.
