A friend of mine and I had this conversation: did you stay in this industry because you truly liked finance or because you were good at your role?

Money. Lol

Ditto this!

Simply because I'm good at my role. I've learned I have no dream job or role, only things I don't mind doing.

I’m 4 years in and I genuinely enjoy the markets. There’s a lot to absorb but it’s always changing and never boring. So much to learn

Wait. There are people who truly like finance? I thought that was a myth. (Obviously I'm still here for the $$ and not the warm fuzzies)

"Everybody can be a leader" some say... "Leaders are nurtured not born" say others... True.

But... this is also true: "not everybody wants to be a leader" (whether they can or can't be). It is a fairly common practice in organizations with traditional career management structures for people to "be promoted" into leadership roles as the "end steps of the corporate ladder" that was climbed doing technical work. And, unfortunately, this doesn't work all the time

Had a connect with Infosys hr regarding a job position. The salary offered didn't match my expectation. I asked if he could revise it, he said it's not his call but, will discuss with the management and see if I could get a higher level. Will he call me back or is it a dead end?

I am a newbie at switching job. Never had a negotiation before in terms of salary.

Hi Guys. Moved to Dallas from Chicago about a month back with my spouse. Being new to the place, been wanting to connect and meet up with those living around. COVID isn't helping either though. We are around 30, Indians moved to US in 2014, love to eat out, sit in cafes and parks. No drinks.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows of or has curriculum for students in a Study Skills class?

I have been given three sections of Study Skills with 15-20 students in each.
I have always taught SDC, but this year my district said that we can do that now. When I got my credential I was not allowed to teach Resource classes unless I took classes and received the Resource Certificate. Does anyone know if this is legal?

I received my credentials in 1996/1997 and the other in 1998
