A general rant here: I get a sense that ppl make mountain out of molehill, when I had never really thought it was a big deal. A couple of examples like ppl saying they can’t share Bed with same-sex friend for a night. Or when someone don’t like to see Zoom calls taken from Bed. Maybe I’ve grown in a culture where you don’t necessarily make everything about Sex (or I’m growing old 🤷‍♂️). It just sounds to me that whenever ppl think of Bed, they only think Sex!!

I need to let it out but I’m so fucking proud of myself and I just realized how lucky I got and it took me until just now to see it. I started in the military and it only took 2 months for me to get out and fall into a bottomless hole of depression. My transition went from: $13 an hour part time, separation with the wife, new job at $18 an hour for physical labor, hit with disability diagnosis, then $20 an hour new office job, reconnecting with wife, having 2nd kid, nearly divorcing (cont.)

Several years ago a gay male acquaintance said he didn't date Black guys. It made me bristle but I was not surprised. Now he's married to one. I feel in a way vindicated every time I see his loving social media posts with his Black husband of like 5 years or so now.

How did he get over his apparent aversion to Black men enough to go and marry one? Where would he be if he hadn't had a change of heart?

I wish there were a tactful way to remind him he said that and watch as he eats his words...
