Help discuss pros and cons. I have a case that's based on a previously litigated matter now brought against another D. I can bring it in State Court where other D was or I can bring it in Fed Court through Diversity. I trust State Court judges in this court and the filing fee is alot less. It might be removed anyway so should I just file in Fed Court?
How is the diversity in leadership, employees, etc… at the other consulting firms? I am at Deloitte (USDC) in FL and it’s primarily Indians.
One of my bosses doesn’t shut up about freaking diversity (which is extended annoying). So since I’m the only latino on the team, I’m going to use that on ms.weallbelong to get promoted.
Looking for ideas on how other companies are celebrating and recognizing diversity holidays like LGBT pride month Juneteenth black history month women’s history month etc.Not just days off
Damn, Trump just told our firm to stop diversity trainings or give up those federal contracts. Dude is straight evil.
My agency puts on a big show about their diversity/inclusions/women’s equality efforts but for the most part its bullshit. The c-suite drinks their own koolaid and don’t even realize it’s all fake.
is it a red flag to you if your decently sized mid law firm has never once mentioned pro bono opportunities? we don’t have any kind of diversity initiative either and obviously i know how i feel about THAT. but was wondering how weird this part of it is.
Anyone feel like it’s gender wars in the consulting bowl right now? I know we’ve linked to a couple of them but they just keep coming and the loudness of it is frightening
Any ideas/suggestions on how to go about forming a diversity committee at a mid size regional law firm? I expect it would be met with some amount of resistance. Thanks!
Universities BUILT by enslaved Africans ON indigenous land ran by white men, with less than 10% of tenured professors of color have the audacity to ask us for a diversity statement 😂 Sickening
Genuine question and attempt to understand: for those of you who are upset or unhappy about more robust efforts at diversity and inclusivity, can you explain why these efforts upset you? Or worry you?
Interesting perspective on a group who gets left out of the diversity conversation. https://www.diversityinc.com/9-things-never-to-say-to-white-colleagues/
Which firms have the best Asian diversity employee groups and partner representation? Eg BCG Asian diversity network
NYC vs Chicago - considering moving out of NYC (obvious reasons :-)), though we love the city and like diversity and energy for our kids to grow up (no suburbs). Any thoughts/experience on Chicago?
What are the drawbacks of filing a second I485? For context I’m ROW and filed an EB I485 in May last year (Texas service center so still waiting). I am now eligible to file I485 under the diversity lottery program, that would be faster and no need to stay with my employer after GC
Best consulting firms for real inclusion?
Has anyone recently gotten their H1B visa stamping done in Mumbai using Dropbox. If yes, what was the processing time and the overall experience? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Does Accenture do H1B transfers in US?
Wasted 2 years and good health working at Deloitte, never getting strategy work. Now I'm too burned out to do MBB and will never be able to break into strategy. Fml 😤
Desperately need to find a therapist, but have barely used any health care in the city (I’m from another country). Apparently my insurance is quite good but I have no clue where to start. Any recommendations or tips for how to find someone?
Came across a role at Deloitte in Richmond, VA today called HRST Talent Culture & Change Management Specialist. Can anyone give me insight into the type of role this is, day to day, comp, etc?
Can you precharge your car rental to one car and then change it after returning? Want to use the CSR in case I need primary car insurance, but would get more points on another card. Heard this was
Should I ask for a raise? My 6-month review is next week and I’m thinking about asking for a raise. I’ve never asked for one before and normally would never think of asking for one until at least 12 months but in the last couple of months my role and responsibilities have enhanced significantly. I don’t have much experience as this is my first job in advertising (comms background) and I don’t want to come off as naive or ignorant! Any advice would be welcomed. Thank you!
14+ years in HR Tech, 5+ in Workday. Previously with a Big4, HCM & Payroll certified. Currently with customer. Looking for a lead/manager role preferably with a global firm. Are there better options?
Was laid off in April and just got an offer for 25% more than i was making but for a role that I am not too excited about. Times are tough and i do need to get income. How bad is it to accept but continue with the rounds of interviews I started for roles I am more excited about?
Seeing a concerning pattern in HR behaviour. Have been trying to switch jobs. My resume gets picked and the HR confirms interviews. But they ghost me before the interview and do not bother to rep CONT
Bain reached out to me. Any thoughts on interviewing with and potentially working at Bain?
Looking to leave PwC. I feel overworked and underpaid. My current salary is 58k even after 2 raises. I’m an experienced associate. Would it be worth going to a accounting firm that’s NOT a Big 4?
I’m in final discussions with PwC for an SM2 role in tech consulting. What is a good TC to expect (base, bonus, sign in)
Long post that’s going to spill into the comments so please bear with me 😅 Anyone having a problem with being overlooked on their team? I worked on implementing a new system, recruiting app teams to test it out, & creating a thorough guide to help people learn it. Back to back meetings with clients & different teams; I was dedicated to this project for months. My coworker added a 2-pg FAQ section & essentially got credit for doing everything even after I shared my contributions to my supervisor.
👩👧 Anyone lost their mother when they were young? I’m in my mid 30s, and the older I get, the harder it feels (counter intuitively) ➡️
A pretty good exit
I’m working for snakes. CDs who sabotage me and my partner at every turn. Insane. Why are there people like these?
Feeling frustrated with my career progression after being a senior planner for +2.5 years. Trying to change careers but that's not going well and I can't seem to land a manager position in media. :/
