Hello, any advise on how to handle a past job situation about 5 years ago, that I quit without 2 week notice,? I started in June and lasted 3 months with a solo attorney who’s behaviour was unacceptable, I learned that I was his 8th paralegal and soon I learned why. I had my two or three interviews, got an offer for a role at an university, I accepted and am “ hired” . But they’re still checking references . Does that make sense ? I got a update that one of my references did not work out. I provided two other references that I don’t know if they’ll give great reviews due to them being petty. Is it a high chance that they can take the offer away if I don’t meet the requirements for my references ?

Why is this with data being such a fast moving field why aren’t this people riding to the occasion of learning? Most of them just stick to SQL and excel 😅
