A female gyn shoved that little metal tool thingy in me and I almost pushed her hands off me. It was my first pap, not nice but quick so no pain really

I'm surprised there are so many women on this thread that have apparently never had a pap smear or pelvic exam at the ob/gyn. I take it none of you is on any form of birth control (pill or inserted), but still, my PCP referred me to one when I turned 18. Tip: you can ask the Dr to use the smaller speculum (yes, they come in different sizes) they use on younger women/girls. Definitely tell them it's your first time - they'll walk you through the procedure.

OP, no one - no one - enjoys them. But they are a must for women's health and I'm surprised that so many adult women here have never had one.
You expect men to lube you up? Do you have medical issue?
Hot tip…if you throw the lube on your girl will love it and so will you.
I always have a woman as an OB/GYN for that reason

As they said a little discomfort. The lady used too much lube for mine so I had to go back the next week for a retest. Sans lube.
