A little off the ad topic, but, has anyone recently purchased their leased vehicle? First timer here and since I love it, and it’s way under miles win, win. Just curious if you reached out to the leasing company first, or if you brought your own financing to the table, and possibly what rates I might be looking at. Latest buyout quote was for $28k, and I have exceptional credit.

Did you not set a buyout price when you signed the lease? Asking bc that price may have been far lower, before the current car shortage began - the “latest” price might not be the best.

Thanks for the info. I gotta dig out the paperwork and see. Was just doing some preliminary research and asking what others’ experiences may have been.

OP, I just bought out my lease last month. I reached out to the leasing company about a 3 weeks before the maturity date to get the paperwork going. As a general rule of thumb, local credit unions offer much lower interest rates than big banks. I suggest you contact your leasing company early to find out if you can bring your own financing.

Good to know. I have 2 months left so I figured I’d better decide on what to do, hah.

Normally buying your lease is a terrible idea, but is your residual value (your buy out price) ridiculously awesome right now because the cost of vehicles is so high all of the sudden due to lack of supply? If so, get it… rare case the contract is working in your favor. Cars are stupid expensive right now. People are paying over value for used vehicles. It’s insane. You won’t get a better deal in this current climate.

In normal times, buying a lease isn’t actually a terrible idea. You do spend a little more, but essentially get a 3-year test drive and end up with a car you know and trust. In this specific case OP also said their mileage is very low — so the buyout deal will be well worth it, especially with today’s crazy used car prices.

Hi Fishes, I have an interview next week for a Client Partnerships Manager role at a large entertainment company. I've never actually done a role like this. The focus would be a client partner for Tech, QSR & Finance clients. Can you all provide any insight or tips into this role whether you've done it or partnered with someone who has. Also, what do you consider the media & marketing process to be? And is QSR mean quick service restaurant. I come from the CPG & sale world. Thanks for any input.

My second option now is that I have an offer from PwC to join the VM team as a Vulnerability Management Associate less pay because I don’t have the “tech” experience. I just want technical work.
