Anyone stuck abroad during this time due to flight delays? Are you firms letting you work from home?
Anyone work at UHY? What's the culture like? How are the hours in busy season /non busy season? Do you work from home at all? I know they are back in the office. What's the dress code (I'm used to jeans and a golf shirt lmao)? Do the managers welcome new methods of preparing returns? Are they afraid of tech / make you prove out your formulas?
Any McKinsey 🐠 (specifically Implementation) able to share insight to McKinsey's WFH/future of work approach? Job description says "join teams virtually across the country", but I know I am expected to relocate.

Feeling guilty for taking a 30/45 mins lunch break and finishing the day before 7pm. But I guess I finished my tasks for the day and I can just tackle the rest tomorrow. Is that acceptable. I feel like I lost track of when to stop since WFH

Parents-how do you feel about daycares opening? Ours never closed but we kept kids home. Our company is WFH for the foreseeable future & it’s hard to reconcile daycare isn’t the same risk as an office
Can anyone in (previously in) the Accenture Consulting Development Program explain the interview process during remote environment?
Hi, would love some advice! I’ve been at my company ~1 yr and feeling like I need a change due to various reasons. Not sure if I can apply elsewhere w/ a little less than 1 yr under my belt, and I don’t have many connections in my area. Right now, I play a BSA role on my team, and I’m hoping to pursue product/UX design. I’m also doing a UX bootcamp in the spring & working on a udemy course outside of work for UX/UI. What’s a good stepping stone role (remote preferred)?
Have you guys gotten client travel reductions/restrictions even on domestic US projects due to the coronavirus? Will most of consulting be work from home in the next few months?
Boss just emailed expecting team to work over weekend. Already spent 60h this week staring at screens WFH. Should I just ignore?
Anyone else seeing this WFH going late into the summer? Seems to be taking countries 3/4 months to get somewhat on top of the issue and that’s without widespread testing.
I like picking up magazines when traveling, but WFH has led me to subscribe to a bunch. Any recommendations? Currently reading: New Yorker, National Geographic, Kiplinger, Pop Sci, and Travel+Leisure
Hi all, I’m a IT strategy consultant working remotely by contract. I’m also doing management consulting for startups and small companies. Fluent in English and French, intermediate in Portuguese, I’m available for remote opportunities in Europe and Americas. I have consulting experience in a big4 firm and professional services of a software company. The sectors where I have the most experience in : Finance, Government, Logistics and Smart cities. Please feel free to reach out!
Early birds: how do you maintain your “5am/6am club” status when WFH? I used to be there+morning exercise...but it’s getting harder lately to wake up early. Tips?
I’m really burned out by WFH and plan to take a week off. Don’t want to go out too much yet so will likely just stay at home. The challenge: I have no idea what I’m doing with several days at home - maybe just binge watch Netflix? Any ideas?
Poll: Post COVID, continue to work from home with a hot desk/open office for when you need to go in or private office in the office but no/few wfh days?
First day as scrum master and for a new team, any tips? I’m not used to gathering a team that’s 100% remote and am trying to figure out creative ways to get the team engaged.
I received an offer from a quant fund. My offer letter doesn’t explicitly state my role/position, it is nyc based, and that it’s full time. It also doesn’t provide benefits breakdown, just a blanket statement that I’m eligible. I’ve spoken to the recruiter about these items, but general response is that this is standard for the company. To me this is all very strange and I feel it should be defined more. Does this sound normal to others? Can’t tell if i should push on this more or leave it.

When a really handsome and strong guy participates in a zoom meeting with me, I have this fantasy of imagining myself being dominated by him. I was still able to keep the meeting professional. ;/
Hi, intern here to crash the party... anyone know of Account Management jobs that might be coming open soon? I graduate in December and am frankly terrified — but I am enthusiastic!
Would appreciate advice for next career steps. Currently in Risk&Reg advisory and looking to switch to Strategy consulting (at PwC/Big 4). From what I've read, the transition seems unlikely because of little work overlap and the preference for top MBAs. It seems like the most realistic ways forward are 1) Get MBA first then request to transfer groups, or 2) Leave the firm for Strategy experience elsewhere and get back into Big 4 eventually. Has anyone made a similar move into Strategy?
Anyone else wish they were streaming games on twitch instead of sharing your screen in a WebEx?
Any good books/resources for a 1st year commercial finance associate? I keep feeling like I’m thrown in the middle of deals and I don’t understand the big picture of what’s happening. I suppose I’m looking for an overview of the life of a typical deal or something along those lines. I just want to find my footing a little faster. 3-months in I still feel pretty lost.
Curious what other people's parental leave looks like for companies of a similar size and industry. We are about 150 employees in the CPG (beverage) space. We want to improve/expand our paid leave. How much paid time do you give your employees? Do you give the same amount for the primary and secondary caregiver? Please include your company size and industry.
Hey Sales 🐠, kindly requesting your advice. I have 4 YOE in customer success and 2 YOE as a presales solutions consultant, all in the health tech space. I’d like to grow into a sales role (e.g. Account Executive), but am not sure what a good next step should be. I don’t have any full cycle sales experience or a history of a meeting quotas, but I am comfortable in C-suite interactions. Any suggestions on what type of sales roles to consider next? Thanks!
What is the interview process like for the the VCA client consulting analyst position? What kind of questions are asked?
What’s the salary bands and sign-on bonus for PWC Senior Manager? What should I ask for in my interview? Thanks
Got an offer for a job that will start in February of 2022. I’m planning on giving my 2 weeks soon and taking a 2-3 month break before the next position starts to just relax and take some time off. I’m young now (mid 20s) and I don’t think I’ll get a chance to take several months off between jobs again after this. Will this gap in employment be a potential issue down the road? I may be thinking too much into this, but would like some advice. TIA
One basic question on long term travel. The income is shown as my income plus whatever I spent as part of deloitte due to travel. Due to this I'll fall in higher tax bracket. So will deloitte pay for that additional tax that Ill end up paying on my actual salary due to higher bracket taxes?
Hi! I'm a systems analyst (YOE - 2 yrs. If adding internships, then 3 YOE) and trying to pivot into data analytics/science. A fast learner with a decent amount of transferable skills. I've been taking online courses for the past several months to add necessary skills to my resume (SQL, Looker, etc.). Anyone willing to provide a referral to Google, Apple, Slack, Okta, or Facebook? If unable to, any advice on changing careers or data analytics is greatly appreciated!
Anyone here work at digital consulting at big 4+ Accenture/Droga5 and would care to chat? Media strategist over here trying to plan next move. Thanks!
If you submit a claim to Amex Plat for a covered item that was damaged and they approve the claim, do they ask for the item back?
Fairly new to the whole consulting game and really switched careers to consulting to specifically work at McKinsey (long story there but in short, admire the work they do). Got to last round interviews in 2019 but didn’t close:/ started a job at Accenture, fairly new here but just curious about tips on how to plan to reapply to McKinsey and if a shift like that would even be possible without an MBA?
