A lot of the protests turn violent due to (white) outside anarchists co-opting the protests. It’s not all it seems. Many BLM protesters just want to protest peacefully. It’s not fair to call them thugs.

Alright so fine there were not many diversity initiatives in the past and not a huge push to create more diversity in organizations. But now is the time you can change that. Moving forward you can put these these initiatives in place.
