What gives you the impression he's lonely? Maybe he's just overly concerned with whatever business he has with y'all
Personally, I'd stretch out the responses a bit but if it's only taking a couple minutes a day to respond, I don't see the harm. I definitely wouldn't tell a customer to contact us less, I can't see anything good coming of that.
