Ok. I got an offer for a “senior consultant” role at this ~75 person company. They offered me $115k base and I’d actually like to be at 130. I want to just ask if there’s room for an additional 15k in the base. I don’t want to qualify my reasons why. Tell me why I should approach it differently or if this will be fine. Hello Everyone! It has been three months since we moved after 20+ years in New York City suburbs. We probably bought our home at the peak. However, we are so glad we did it. Austin is a fantastic place and has so much to offer. People are so friendly and interesting. Lot of things to see. We live in Steiner and you can’t really can’t go wrong with bee cave, west lake, Leander or any of these suburbs. I highly recommend a home with a view and going into the city. I just recently worked 58.6 hours in a week, weekly pay, nice OT profit right? Depends on where you live.

In Iowa, there is no Overtime pay mandate, the overtime pay is at the discretion of the business. I received 58.6 hours of base pay for the week.

If the company makes less than $1 million per year or does not engage in intercontinental sales, the company is not required to pay the overtime rate of time and a half, just your base rate.
