Hi fishes,
Any guess how many people are laid off from Publicis sapient in past few days? Really scared for my future as I'm also under probation period and deeply regret for my choice of joining this firm...I don't understand why were they recruiting peeps when they were short of projects. Publicis Sapient

And also, don't feel too bad it's work at the end of the day. There's light at the end of the tunnel ❤️
OP and P1, please either find work that you enjoy and that is less stressful, or find ways to cope (setting boundaries, creating wirk/life balance, finding a team where you feel respected). Life is too short, and this is not for everyone by any means.
First day
I'm with P2. Absolutely no job should ever make you cry. Well except maybe a prep cook- onions are a bitch.
That is what I am doing right now ..sitting alone in the hotel crying
Crying inside and faking outside.
I’m with all of you - this job is bullshit
Shut up DD1
If a job is making you that upset and unhappy you really should reconsider your career, you have only one life, don’t waste it doing things you hate! This being said I have my ups and downs in this business too, I didn’t cry this week, but on a couple of mornings I didn’t want to get out of bed, didn’t want to face my day... just think about the bigger picture. If it’s a temporary lull, try to stay the course, if it’s a more systemic issue, time to reconsider !
Moment I realized was after spending all night editing a deck, only to "not have time" to go over it in the meeting the next day. That analyst lesson made me sure I'd leave. I theoretically have more dignity than that
My heart isn’t in this anymore and tbh I’m leaving Monday myself. Don’t wait till this breaks you to seek new employment
D3 you are dead on. A little praise and appreciation goes a very long way, and people doing a good job deserve to hear that occasionally. Wanting that isn't remotely like expecting "a prize for doing your job," as A1 put it. If you want to motivate people and earn their respect, recognize them for their efforts. That is an important part of how I manage people (and how I treat people in general).
A1, I agree with your subsequent comment about sleeping well at night knowing that you worked hard and did a good job, and not simply taking your cues from feedback (or lack thereof).
Just read somewhere on linkedIn today "You're killing yourself for a job that would be replaced if you dropped dead - #takecareofyourself"
Cried in the bathroom last week
Isn’t awesome that we can all just quit whenever we want to?
I ve been thinking about that past 2 weeks. I dont have time/energy to look for jobs while working. Was thinking of loa, but likely not get one until spring. Would it be crazy to leave without a job lined up? I also dont want to jump into something just cause i want out of this nonsense
Haven’t left yet but it crosses my mind everyday. It’s just the blatant disregard of my work. Client appreciates it but not sure the firm does. I am just one of their many soldiers they send to war
A1: I know I don’t but a little good job every now and then doesn’t hurt. I make sure I do this for my team: show appreciation and I can tell you it works wonders. We are all humans after all
What happened?
I cried this week too. Sometimes it feels good to just let it out:)
