So I started at a new role at a known retailer about 2 months ago. I am their first hire in this role, as I have more than 5 years of relevant experience leading initiatives and optimizing process across departments. While I understand it takes time to adjust to the culture, its seems like all I have witnessed is resistance to change. I already feel myself not wanting to be here long, but I'm putting pressure on myself to not be a quitter. Would you stick it out or start looking?

My supervisor left 2 months ago and I’ve been doing his job while they find a replacement. I know I have to put in my time but also want to make sure I’m not being taken advantage of.

LGB lawyers: do any of you play straight when you’re going into an unknown circumstance? I practice in a city but recently had to do a court appearance for a client out in a rural county state court. I made small talk with the judge before the hearing and he saw my wedding ring and asked about my wife (I’m gay, it’s a husband). I started talking about my “wife” because I didn’t want the judge to take anything out on my client. Not a horror story, but unfortunate. Anyone else?

Salesforce developers who transitioned to architects, what are some things you wish you did differently or just some general advice?

If it matters, im an SF dev with around a year and a half of sf experience and around 5 years of regular dev experience. Have completed the application architect side of the triangle, and am working on the system architect side now.

Can someone explain what early retirement means? How does that work if you are a partner?

Just started my career at a rotational product management role straight out of college. But it’s been 6 months and I’ve yet to feel challenged (my product already has two PMs) . Every time I tell people, they always respond with what else do you want (as in just enjoy a relaxed job). Is it bad if I start looking for new opportunities only 6months- (or even wait until 1 year mark) before I start applying?
