I was presenting to the c-suite… in-person… all the way to our global account leadership….
Computer does a “scheduled update restart” 15 minutes in.
No other person in the room as the deck (it’s all Partners who don’t actually read their emails).
I wanted to die. But, hey, we sold the next phase.
Our computers seriously hate us and choose the worst moments
If it makes you feel better:
1) We all flip slides for somebody, the somebody just becomes more senior over time.
2) The other challenges of the job ramp so significantly with level that eventually you will miss the sweet simplicity where advancing a slide too soon was significant enough to cause panic.

I always do that, but no one blames me for that, and I always speak at the same time with my manager. Then we both say go ahead, followed by a sec of silence, and then we both try to speak at the same time.
