Tell the those reasons, you didn’t say anything bad or incriminating or unprofessional. Also wtf why did they reach out to your current job??
Lol Crowe is the worst place first of all. I didn't leave my first year just because of this type of talk and it didn't change anything they promised. I had also applied after 8 months and knew it wasnt for me. You did nothing weong - employment is at free will. You probably want to leave asap now though because now they know you're planning to leave and won't honestly care.
- ex crowe employee.
Have the call -be professional and say you look around but not sure. Say you arent leaving righr now just shopping. Theres no point of being honest esp over a phone call where nothing gets fixed.
Thank you! I appreciate your response, yes I will do as you stated.
Whoa that should never happen, it’s like your prospective gf or bf going to your current one without telling you. Think you are better off at Crowe than this new company.
Tell them the problems are things they can't change, like you want a decent 401k match, the new role has PTO and potential Bonuses. Crowe benefits are trash, and there's nothing a partner can say to change that.
SUCH TRASH! I remember telling my managers that and they were like umm it's not that bad. For the amount of shit I went through - its trash benefits.

Lol these firms need people so bad that they're getting increasingly desperate. Op, take the call and just reiterate that this role isn't the right for for you, and that you are committed to ensuring a smooth transition.
I would take the call and discuss what you like and don't like about your current position. Offering possible resolutions to what you don't like could help it be a productive call even if you don't decide to stay or not get offered the other position. Try not to be nervous, you aren't the first person the partner has had this conversation with.
Deny deny deny. Did you actually admit you did?
I mean my buddy got himself into a situation like that.. he ended up leaving a different firm for another one..
Do you at least have enough experience hours to get your CPA? Don’t leave before you get that at minimum.
I don’t think I want my CPA, that’s another thing too

If it’s another accounting job they have a point, if it’s not another accounting firm than you should be truthful, but your time will be up at Crowe.
