Ask him for feedback specifically about your last meeting. Point out what you’ve observed about his interactions with you and stick to the facts. See what he says. It’s a good way to see if there is any room for improvement from either of you in a non confrontational way.

Sorry, the partner is a jerk. People who berate in public, but are good in private are just that. Never trust, never forget. Been burnt here, and bad!
Partners are people too. They have fears, insecurities and talents just like the rest of us.
I worked with one just like that a few years ago - maybe same one (?). Was totally demoralized and took a while to recover mentally from him.

This is a tough one and it’s a bad situation. I’m sorry you’re facing this. In my view, I think you should schedule a 1 on 1, but I’d prepare by noting down his behaviors and how you are interpreting his behaviors. For example, “I notice you use a different tone with me than the others, so I assume you want me to do XYZ. Is that right?” I don’t think a direct confrontation will work, and I don’t think you should just put up with it. The strategy of telling him what his behaviors really communicate to you seems like the best way forward.
Mind you I have never had a staff member have this kind of discussion with me, so I can’t say how it will go
