A partner sometimes cuts my time for review and study of medical records. He’s practiced for years and easily comprehends the language but sometimes I wonder if his expectations are reasonable. Is there a generally accepted amount of time one should spend reviewing records, like say x amount of pages per hour?

We had one client who told us that they approve 1 hour per 100 pages of medical record review. Obv not ever client follows that but it was a good baseline.

Really depends! Tough to say without a more thorough understanding of what the review is for, and the type of records being reviewed.

If the records are particularly long, technical, difficult to read because they’re handwritten, or there is some other issue, it’s helpful sometimes to describe the issue at the end of your billing entry, ie “extended due to…” or (10000+ pages)

Really struggling to get enough protein when striving for a relatively high-protein diet. Everyone relies so heavily on protein shakes and bars but when I consume too much at once I feel bloated and nauseous. Are there certain products you found that were better than others in terms of digestibility… or do I just need to eat a bunch of chicken every day? 😂

I have never met anyone else in public accounting with HG, so just looking to connect/solidarity.
