Short answer - associate partner, likely higher pay.
I don’t know anyone from Monroe, but the firm is >1k employees. So, it’s not a startup boutique firm. In my experience, the AP/P range at the 1k+ employee firms (excluding the ones doing staff aug work) are on par with their Big 4 counterparts in terms of expertise.
However, the pay at the partner level for the non-big 4 firms tends to be higher. This is not a knock against the skill/expertise of big 4 partners. At the partner level, the smaller firms tend to have more “hunter” type sales focused partners, which usually comes with higher compensation for originating clients. Where the big 4 firms are so large and matrixed that the sales cycle looks very different. In big 4, there are a lot more “farmer” type partners with multi-year and multi-partner clients.
First things first get the name right. It’s the same as Senior Manager at Big4.
Sorry! And Thank you! :)
So a principal in Monroe is a Manager in Big 4?
