Every startup has the end game of possible acquisition or public. That's literally the end game for 100% of them. If you go startup you really have to believe in the product and the team. If you do then the choice should be obvious. I'd be wary though of any startup paying associates $100K salary. Sounds like whoever is running the show doesn't have a clue what the fuck they're doing.
^Still paying your lowest level of labor a nearly 100% premium over the market. That doesn't speak well for other costs. Sounds like they've got no handle on their costs.
Dumb question - you can always go back to PA if the startup goes south
Startup ftw.
Granted a premium is expected, but I'd think something more in the 20% - 30% range, not 80% - 100%
$60k for me in NYM, ballin'
Thanks everyone 😂
Only if you had prior PA experience and cpa passed?!?
You probably could get promoted if you wanted to
Start up if you have a solid emergency fund.
^has a great point
well consider the premium for you to go to start up vs staying in the firm. They can't recruit talent as easily as PA firms I bet.
Seriously, how much does an associate make? 50k?
That's first year too, $$
