I have 6 yrs of HR exp, a PHR cert & an HRIP cert. I recently left my role as an HR Rep at a tech co b/c I was working 60+/week and the stress of the job was affecting my health. I recently received an offer at a new tech co that is $10k less than what I was previously making with comments from current EEs that this new co has a better WLB. Total comp is still a lot less than my prev company. Is less comp too much of a compromise for better WLB? What have you compromised for a better WLB?

How much are customer service advocates making?
Personally I think there will be some negotiation occurring as it seems the recruiter would’ve said no already if that wasnt the case. I think by having your viable reasons like you said will put you in a good position for negotiation
Agree, the call is to feel you out. negotiate or try and back you down. Stand your ground as 7k is nothing to them. Whatever you do, don’t agree to whatever they come back with right away. Tell them you need time to think it over. Ignore any pressure and stand your ground. Give yourself time to make a good business decision over night.
Hmm no way to tell. They may go for it and they may not
