A recruiter asked me if I’m currently interviewing anywhere else during a phone screening. At the time no else had reached out. I’ve accepted an interview with another company. Should I include that in my follow up email?

As a former recruiter, I would say yes. This might give you more leverage or encourage interested employers to move quickly in the recruiting/hire process.

Thank you!!

Always tell them yes if they ask this question. Create need / image that you are highly desired in the job market.

like

Thank you!!!

I wouldn’t unless you think it would give you a competitive advantage, that’s not a question they have a right to know and you weren’t being dishonest since you weren’t at the time.

Thank you!!

Update: I told the recruiter in my follow up email that I was contacted by another company for an interview. He responded same day to ask for my availability. The next day, I’m scheduled for back to back interviews with members of the time ☺️!!!!

Thank you!!!

Looking for advice! I’ve been in the banking for approximately 10 years in risk/Compliance. I left my role several months ago and I’m having trouble landing a job in the banking sector. Hiring managers say the interviews went great but then crickets. I am feeling that this is no longer for me. Would a career coach help me pivot to another career. I keep falling back to what I know and it’s no longer working. Thanks!

Feeling really frustrated and don’t know what to do. Interviewed early March, informed that I moved onto second rounds after ~2 weeks. Was told there would final rounds in late April but they never took place and haven’t scheduled it still.

I move states in July to start my job at D but I really want this MBB role. There’s roommates in my current and possible future state dependent on me to find out where I’m working as well. At this point I also feel very demotivated to study/prep.

A recruiter for a company that I was excited to work for has ghosted on me (it’s been a week since they have given me updates). I’ve been told that things are delayed bc several key folks are on vacation atm.

How should I approach this situation? Several other companies I’m interviewing with is reaching final rounds, but tbh I’m not as interested in those roles. Plus I’m getting antsy being unemployed for several weeks since I was laid off.

I applied to a job at KPMG and did the first two rounds of interviews, general interview, then case study and competency. Never before have I had such a positive feedback at the end of an interview of the 2nd, both said really like me, I did well etc.
It's now been 3 weeks since the interview and I still haven't heard back from the team other than the odd HR email saying they are following up with them. Is there something going on internally, I.e hiring freeze in the London office atm?

This job market is insane right now.

Now, with all of these layoffs... employers have the upper hand, and it's super competitive to land the job.

I work full time as a senior manager (L7) at Amazon. I've passed one the hardest interview that Amazon has to be a part of the executive team.

I started coaching on the side and really fell in love with it. I've helped a ton of people land their dream job!

What’s a good answer to the question “Why are you leaving so soon?”

For context I have made 2 exit since last year. I was below average at the start of the pandemic and now quite a bit on the upper range. In each instance I was either approached by the recruiter or the hiring manager. Even now the most recent interview was when the company approached me through LinkedIn but still they asked me this question which is quite confusing. I mean you approached me and I like the work you do.
