HCL Technologies Went through HR discussion and salary discussion 10 days back. Initial required documents are sent from my side over mail to HR as they asked. HR told they will proceed with the profile and will update back post getting the approval. After that no update yet and HR is not responding over mails/calls as usual. Should I consider they are not proceeding? Any idea how many days it takes in general HCL Technologies

That means that the investigation is over and the central adjudication facility has determined that you are trustworthy enough to be granted a clearance.

I'm assuming she's referring to interim clearances? Those can be granted before the clearance has gone through the full adjudication process.
Adjudication is the final deliberation. Fully adjudicated just means you officially/ completely/ formally are cleared. It’s like when they put the last stamp of approval on you
Do you have any Clearance Verification Forms? I got one during client onboarding that shows-
Investigative basis:
Date backround Investigation Closed:
Type of Backround Investigation:
Investigative Agency:
Adjudication date:
Then it shows-
Verifying person name:
Agency name:
Signature:
Phone number:
Oh. Don't think so. Haven't received anything. Last correspondence I received was my investigation is complete and my clearance will expire 5 years from now.
They can have it checked in JPAS.
It means fully processed

Actually, most recruiters can't. An applicant should be aware of the status of their clearance if they are using it as a selling point. Depending on the company, they will have their security manager check after a certain point in the process. Some do it right away while others do it after the interview, either way the offer will usually be contingent on the clearance.
The recruiter can actually check that for you. They have the ability... well the ability to have their security check it.
