A senior hr business partner, working in a reputed company with unorganised work culture, it's taking 15 hours a day to manage the responsibility. Is that means I'm incapable to do it? Senior people please throw me some insights.

It may mean that you need to identify tasks and which ones are taking the most amount of time to complete. I call it, slowing down to speed up. So basically scrutinize your failure then adjust accordingly.

One thing I can tell you is that this may be the most important job experience you ever have. Hang in there. Maybe you can make a difference. Or move on to a more technologically progressive place. It's a "fish or cut bait" decision. Good luck!

What do you mean by unorganized work culture? Are you a single BP working for a scrappy, reputed, start up? Can you share some more information?

Based on this answer, I don't think you're a failure; you're understaffed. Focus on hiring junior associates to get some work off your back and focus on making efficient processes. Even part-timers or contract-based workers would do as you put out fires as they out out smaller fires. Try to target your most urgent tasks and projects to take them off your plate as soon as possible. You will never run out of work so might as well chew off some of the ones you already have.

I just left an extremely chaotic workplace where my manager just contributed to the chaos. It helped having colleagues to share/affirm my experience so I knew it wasnt me but the environment that was the problem. Perhaps you can build your internal network to validate your experience and share coping mechanisms?

I have worked for my company in the UK as A Tech Lead (£58k) for the past year and I have seen all of my friends get screwed over, either by being the fall guy for something or the CEO + CTO causing people to get so depressed they leave. I'm at the end of my tether, but I love my team and don't want them to get screwed over by me leaving. We have built up a good atmosphere and culture in the team. In the last 18 months company have had a turn over of 50+% but not my team. What are your thoughts.

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this. Does anyone who switched from consulting to product management have any recommendations of h helpful PM books, courses, or programs?

Has anyone successfully caught an associate falsifying time? I initially became suspicious because the amount of office chit chat I’ve witnessed and nature of social media postings (frequent bar trips midweek) wasn’t adding up with his alleged hours billed. I pulled his time and it’s hard to say if it’s falsified or if he’s just incompetent - and I don’t want to go to my other partners if I’m not 100% sure. But it’s hard to believe he honestly spent .8 reviewing a one page order.
