3rd year SM. Have been allocating slide and model building to junior teammates for so long I legit feel like if I went to industry and have to do real work I would get called out as a fake and be fired immediately. Anyone else feel this way? I’ve always had imposter syndrome but feel this is different because I was good at managing and dealing with clients - but never as creative doing the actual work. Help.

I have a concern about an ex co worker whom was fired at the beginning of the week for poor attendance. Before being fired she was harassing me constantly sending me paragraphs of why she was mad at me and then would come in hug me and kiss my cheeks and apologize & then do it again. This happened a handful of times. She has come into work everyday since being fired just walking around. She has been texting my friends making up stories about me. Is there anything I can do? I thought it was over.

Looking for some insight. I recently got laid off from a growing start up. I loved the culture, the product, & they actually promote their people. I’ve been an BDR for a year at my previous company & then only a month at this one. My goal is to become an AE but now I’m wondering if that’s what I want. Ive been in tech in the Bay Area for 2+ years with previous experience in data management. Thinking of rebranding & getting into partner marketing or anything to get me to 6 figures. Thoughts?

My little sister got engaged today. She’s so in love and she truly found her soulmate. I’m so happy for her but I can’t help but feel bad for me. She’s always been an over achiever and has always “beat” me in everything (job, looks, love, social life etc). She and her fiancé are moving into a nice new condo in an amazing city while I’m single and stuck with my parents because I got laid off during Covid. Currently at a startup - we are nowhere near profitable, and have significantly negative cash flows. Based on my calculations we’ll need more funding in about 6 months (after we just closed series C). I feel like the investors see something I don’t… but I should just recognize they’re smarter than I am and I should just trust the fact that they’re investing?

What do you tell yourself to get over the sticker shock of weddings? I make $220K and my fiancé makes $200k. I know we are both incredibly lucky to have great jobs, but we both have loans and I can’t shake the feeling that we are wasting our money on this wedding. The costs add up SOO fast. So I got a job offer for a firm making one third more than what I do now. BUT the glass door reviews are terrible (all negative one very recent) saying that the bosses use you and abuse you. Small firm but I want to pívot into practicing L&E (I currently do construction defect and insurance defense). Sooo Do I accept the offer and hope it’s not as bad as the reviews and if so, stick it out until I get enough experience to jump ship?

Weird question- or confessional (unsure tbh)- do any of you ever play hooky? I billed all weekend (7 year atty in ID) and today is wicked weather in the south so I’m “wfh” but not really.
