How do you deal with all of the constant pings? I need some focus time to write emails & create campaigns but my entire team tends to be “on call” with Slack all day and it’s making me crazy. I want to bring this up to the rest of the executive team because we are overboard with the constant notifications and questions/comments that don’t really need to be in slack.

5wks pregnant and wondering — when did people tell their teams they were pregnant? I’m mindful that we’re “always on” during COVID, and I’m thinking about dr appts and what to do if/when morning sickness shows up, since I’m on zoom ~6hrs/day... but it’s also so painfully early. Perhaps the correct response to fatigue over endless video meetings would be to rethink meetings and schedule fewer with only needed attendees? Meetings were broken pre-pandemic. Zoom is just putting a face on the problem. We don’t need more phone calls.

I hate Slack. I can’t get sh*t done because it’s like being in an all-day meeting responding to people. My real day starts about 5:30p when Slack finally calms down.
