I’m transitioning from the psychology/social work field to become a Data Analyst!! I realized this was the field for me after I worked in a research lab for 2 years & loved it. Right now I’m taking the Google DA Certification & trying to really take my time learning SQL & R Programming.

My question is, for entry level positions would I have to be tested on things like SQL or R before getting hired & how hard/rigorous would this testing be?

Hi all! I currently work as a Project Specialist and a Scrum Master for an agile pod. I want to get an official SM certification. We don’t follow SAFe yet but we are moving towards that methodology, so we have the SAFe Scrum Master Certification (SSM) available through work (which I am signed up to complete). My question is from the resume perspective does the SSM cert have the same significance as CSM?

I had worked with capgemini for about 2 months after completing my UG. I had to leave since I was not aware that there was a 2 year bond and we were placed in unrelated projects. I then completed my mba and worked with tech mahindra for a year. Im about to join tcs now as a mangement trainee. This capgemini experience is reflecting in my uan portal as pf was deducted. I have not mentioned this experience to TCS and shown as exam preparation gap. Will tcs find out and terminate post joining ?

Can someone explain very simply in their own words what the steps of going from H1B to GC is? I googled it myself but just confused about the forms associated with each step (I-140, I-485, etc.) and the approx time of each step. So far my firm has extended my H1B a month ago and while doing so asked me to briefly describe my job duties for the PERM labor certification application. Does that mean the GC process has been started? My h1b is till late 2024. What kind of timeline am I looking at?

I’m in my mid 20s and during/since college have been a pretty heavy drinker. Almost all weekends, some weekdays as well. Nothing dependent yet, but I did do dry january to kind of prove to myself that I’m not dependent and to re-assess my relationship with alcohol. I feel good and am proud of going the whole month so far, but physically I’m not noticing a huge change other than not being hungover on weekends. Anyone have encouraging words/advice/experience? Was it worth it?

If I speak Chinese natively at home (but can’t write) and graduated from a Canadian university for undergrad, is it misrepresenting it for an INSEAD application to list Chinese as my native language?

My verbal practice scores are pretty high, but quant is just killing me. Anyone had issues with quant and figured out how to fix it via tutor / guides. Studying 3 hours / day + non stop on weekends.
