About 4 years in ad tech and unsure if I want to stay in this industry long term- what roles have others taken?

I got an offer for 50k base + commission as a tech recruiter remote working with companies like amazon, HBO, way fair etc. Are there any other jobs I can apply for and be qualified for that can be remote or normal hours? I’m a Social Work Major with non profit management minor looking to pivot. Ton of awards, leadership, 3.8+ gpa, full scholarship, female first gen. A lot of my internship and volunteering is medical or social work related though, and I mentor disadvantaged youth.

I have a couple screening calls for some pretty awesome companies and I would love some pointers on how to beat the objection that I have only been in my farming role since June. How would you sell the fact you want to go back to SDR, I am sick and tired of non revenue generating activity and miss having a list to attack.

Never had panic attacks before and have had three in last few weeks. It’s terrible, I thought I was having a heart attack the first time. Has anyone experienced this and what treatment helped?

Why is it recommended you give a company 2 weeks notice when you are leaving but at the same time, when they are laying you off/firing you, they typically do it on the spot. I have known countless people layed off/fired on the spot over the years (especially after busy season) and everyone else when they leave give 2 week notice. Why should we relinquish power to corporations? Corporations really don't care about us. They pretend they do.

I’m in a bit of a conundrum. I am the Marketing Director in a space where they have never had marketing before. I created a new website, a shorter domain for emails etc and I manage all social media, advertising, creative, brand awareness etc. my boss is constantly challenging me on sales. Our analytics have increased by about 30% on all platforms and he wants to “fire” or get out of advertising contracts because he wants people in the doors for sales. I am having a hard time reflecting my worth

How do you know when it’s best to stay in your position?

I’m tired of pivoting. I feel like my job has growth potential and I like my company. Also it seems like my company places a lot of emphasis on experience and I can only get that with time.

On the other hand I work on a small team and there is definitely room for improvement. I think the issue is the size of the team? Like, if there were 2-3 more people it wouldn’t be too bad.

Hi Everyone, Started my career in government 5 years ago working in an operational role, then focussed on HR for 3 years working my way up to a middle manager role in HR as a business partner and completed my Level 7 CIPD. I recently switched focus from FP&A to Finance Transformation with a 30% raise but really do not like the work and would like to transition back.
