I’ve always been a big saver minimum 15% to maxing out my 401k since I graduated college. I’m married to someone who thinks 6% is enough and likes $$$ cars. Other than the cars, they dont really spend money. For the married 🐠, how do you have the conversation with them that what they are doing isn’t enough? I try to guide them and say you want the $$$ cars but the salary you have won’t get there and you’re going to have to find a job that gets them the salary…. Then the fight starts.
Received an offer from EY and benefits brochure very brief. Any opinion on best/worst benefit and anything to negotiate?
It feels daunting to need to save up for a house down payment and new car down payment while also maxing Roth IRA, HSA, still contributing to 401k, and paying rent and bills plus the cost of having 3 animals, all on a single salary. That’s my anxiety for the day. I’m gonna go eat lunch now
TIAA had given me an option to join either Mumbai or Pune location. I currently live in Mumbai and I told them that I will join at Pune. Will I be eligible for relocation benefits?
Does anyone know the salary range for a program coordinator at Aya Healthcare corporate?
What are pros/cons of investing in 401k beyond the company match? I’m thinking I can make more investing on my own but want to hear others’ input. TIA!
Thoughts on using 401k to pay for down payment / closing costs on a house? I know it’s normally a huge no-no, but it’d take me 2 years to save enough cash in my market, and I plan to house hack so I’d be able to pay myself back in 1/4 the time it’d take without using it and allow me to start my FI journey way quicker (but terrifying to think of actually doing it). I do have a cash emergency fund. Pros and cons, and anyone who has done this. Thanks!!
I’m a cci edit coder. I currently have the RHIA registered health information administrator. I been thinking of studying for CCS certified coding specialist exam. But none of the jobs I’m interested in require CCS. They want someone that is familiar with data using excel tableau etc I know these things but I have not worked in a role. I guess my question is should I past this CCS exam then focus on trying to get experience as a data analysts or forget about the CCS?

What is the Medical Insurance amount provided by the DTICI? And for this, premium will be deducted in the monthly pay? Or it'll be taken care of by the employer itself? Any info regarding health insurance is not provided in the offer letter. So, I'm willing to know about this.
Would anyone please clarify this query.
I am in desperate need of advice. I am currently employed as a “health assistant” in my local school district 5 days a week. I do many things that a school nurse does, but the school nurse is only at our location 1 day a week. The next coming school year I was told I have to give a student medication through a g-tube, but I do not have any credentials. This doesn’t seem right to me. Thoughts?
What’s your auto insurance and with whom? I’m paying $400 with desjardins and it’s crazy! Need alternatives.

Do we know if there is a sponsoring partner that oversees this benefit/ program that I could have more of a heart to heart conversation with? Not getting too far with the general email box and admin contact. From the benefit policy documentation, my understanding is that EY reimburses employees for surrogacy / adoption related expenses up to $50k lifetime. However, anything related to IVF or medical procedures has to go through insurance (also limited to $50k lifetime benefit). Continued…
I am going to be interviewing for a Regional Consultant role at GS as someone came to me because they thought I’d be a good fit. I am happy in my current role and I am wondering if anyone has any additional insight into the role besides what I was able to obtain from the job description. Any info regarding average pay for Regional Consultants at GS and benefits is mostly the information I’m looking for. Thank you!
Londoners, where do you buy nice, high-quality furniture at reasonable prices? Moving into my first flat soon but this won't be my permeant home so I'm not sure if it's worth spending tones on furnishings
Spent 4+ years as CMO of startup company. It was an incredible learning experience but also a very difficult uphill battle trying to steer the owners and the company in the right direction. I’ve just exited the company as of 11/18. The owners expected to storm the marketplace and emerge as a number one brand at only 6 years old without putting in the work.Company had a very hard time understanding the concept of a unique value proposition. Hoping to find a new remote (full time) position ASAP
Freelanced for 5 yrs, but interviewing for FT roles. I have a conference + vacation booked in April/May which would equate about 8-9 days OOO. If I land a job offer, how should I proceed?

I've been at my current firm for about a year, and am now in charge of a few large accounts. Each of the accounts has grown 30-50% this year (perhaps luck) as a result of my focus on selling Salesforce work (my background in delivery). I've been approached about moving into a BD role, owning all Salesforce BD efforts within an industry vertical. I'd have to take a bit of a hit on base (~$60k), but the role is uncapped 5% commission. It feels too good to be true. What should I look out for?
What will be inhand salary for this?

I had some interviews and the 3rd party recruiter whom I worked with asked that I send the thank you emails directly to him and he'd send it to the people I interviewed with and cc me. Is that odd?
Has anyone ever reached out to a recruiter after applying for a job? Wondering if it’s a good idea or if it’s frowned upon.
