M7 infrastructure in Texas. I'm currently paid near bottom of scale in my group. I'm not upset and love my job and my peers. I have an offer for 40% raise to industry job. I prefer my current work though, both from daily work and career path. But 40% raise is a big deal. At what point is the pay raise more important than daily work joy. I'm stressing over this decision. I don't really want to leave.
What firm has the best workforce planning / analytics practices? I’m trying to think about where i want to go after promotion.
As a woman, what are specific things that contribute to your engagement and retention at your firm - obviously pay, promotion, mat leave benefits.. other factors? “Soft” considerations? TIA!
Does anyone have advice on how to increase your realization? I'm told I'm not ready for a promotion because my realization is a little too low. I'm not understanding some of the things I cont....
I was making 99k at current employer and got an offer for 140k but no promotion with a competitor...should I take?
Asking for a friend in IBM : What could be the expected hike % on a promotion from Band 7A - Advisory Consultant to Band 7B - Senior Advisory Consultant? Work Ex total - 6.5+ years (Salesforce), will complete 2 years in IBM in April Thanks!
If I move into a financial analyst position after two years of audit experience (and 1 promotion) will i likely start at the bottom of the totem pole? Trying to get an idea of what my salary would be. I feel this role is kinda critical for my 20 -30 year plan so I’m willing to start at an A1 position again. any insight here would be great. Thanks
What’s raise percentage between 1st and 2nd year? What’s percentage between 2nd year and senior? Are all service lines the same?
Is it unreasonable to expect a raise at the end of the year knowing that I’ll be on maternity leave part of next year?
When it comes to minorities getting paid less than their white counterparts (esp. men), do you think it’s more about minorities having difficulties standing up for themselves to make a case for getting a raise/promotion, the bias of their managers/leadership, or both? Asian male here who doesn’t like to toot my own horn or play politics but feel increasingly like it’s required to keep climbing in this industry.
I am a L10 working in the SAP space within CDO at Accenture. I have been at the firm for a little over 7 months and would like to know come the next promotion cycle how I could switch from CDO to C&M.
Well, I just got my first pay statement with the new raise. It's about $100 more per paycheck. Someone please tell me that the money gets better someday. Staff 2 here.
How many years does it take to jump from junior to mid-level producer? What kind of raise can I expect?
Principal telling me that I have all the capability to move forward to Manager but “just wants a few more practice reps” before official promotion consideration. What does this mean? Doesn’t it seem contradictory? This person I know has my best interests but they are confusing me with this.
Any 🐠 familiar with Wayfair GM track? Tried but didn't find anything relevant online. Any information would be helpful including comp, promotion track etc.
I’m going to quit my company soon, and transfer to PwC Asia. I’m little lost in terms of what I need to prepare before moving away from USA (401K, Bank accounts, visa, etc). If my start date is in September, when should I plan on quitting from USA firm? I would like to make sure I have enough time to relocate (but still stay few weeks to prepare moving), receive cash pay out for unused vacation hours, pay check, etc. Could you please share anything that I should be aware of before quitting?
Interview with D S&O was the opposite of what I expected. Don't think I'll get the offer. 😓 Maybe next time...
Any insights (comp/interview/role/targets) on Google Cloud Key Account Exec Director roles for GCP? With TK as the new GCP CEO, I heard they are hiring senior Partner/Principal level leaders?
Data scientist looking to exit to industry because I’ve been staffed on general consulting projects and D isn’t letting us leave anything billable. Machine learning / AI specialty - anyone know of good companies hiring? Masters and 2 YOE, Europe based
I actually don’t know much about compensation increases that come with promotions. What does the typical % increase look like for an internal recruiter? Just trying to understand all of the things.
Gearing up towards salary negotiations, I've got 2 YOE and 66.668$ TC as a consultant with no benefits. My role description has changed quite a bit since I started and I'm now the only colleague with a qualified QA degree in my team. I am considering putting forward a proposal of a 25-30% increase to match my role as QA lead, is this to bold?
I'm trying to give back to community by creating an internal project that some college seniors can contribute to. I need to get buy-in from my leadership. To do this I think I should create a (cont)
How is Veritas test prep? Not super comfortable with the GMAT (haven't started studying hard yet), but I've heard it's a good place to start. Also curious about their MBA coaching
So we’re all making the zoom/cell phone/ stock anthem spot about how our brands have a big message to stay home now right? Facebook, uber, Oreo, Walmart back to back on Hulu. Who’s next?
Is your company still expecting you to sell like there isn’t a pandemic going on, or is it just mine?
Took some online exams as part of the first round of interviews for McKinsey. How long after you take the exams do you hear back if you made it to the next round?
Whats the average salary for an AD in healthcare? I've seen a huge variation, I just want to budget out how I can move out of my 250sqft apartment when I move up lol
I have my first exit interview tomorrow. Any recommendations as to how to approach it? My line manager with was really bad and I have supporting evidence. How far do I go?
I am a single woman who is a Workday Tech lead. I recently started with my consulting firm but I have been considering getting a dog for years. I found a retired small dog (from a breeder) who is 4 years old. Is it dumb to adopt the dog knowing that post covid there will likely be travel? I’m on a fully remote project until April 1st.
