About to hit my 50th peleton class. As someone who was inactive pretty much all of last year, the fact that I found a workout I loved and stuck to it for 56 days. That I out of all people made time to do 50 workouts... I'm just feeling so grateful🥺

This really reinforces “the best workouts are the ones you stick to”

Congrats on finding yours!

Definitely agree, thank you!!

Congrats! I highly recommend the “Discover your power zones” program and then joining the Power Zone Pack (no affiliation with Peloton). I’m on week 7 of their 8 week winter challenge and I absolutely love it.

like

Not at all! You can take an FTP test (functional threshold power) on any bike that gives you an output and then get your zones from there. Peloton just makes it very easy within their bike.

So proud of you! Keep up the good work 👏👏👏

Congrats!!!

Hello Infoscians/Ex-Infoscians!

I will be joining Infosys this Thursday as a 7+ YOE Tech Lead. I am an avid trekker and every year I go on a trek at least once which requires me to take a 5-7 working days off. Its actually my passion.

Just wanted to know how difficult it is to get leaves approved and officially before how many days do i need to inform my manager?

Is there any SOP for applying leaves at Infy?

Thank you in advance!

What’s the best low calorie, high protein snack?

Background- In quarantine I’ve been intermittent fasting &calorie counting for a few months, and still working out in the mornings. My workout has usually been a 3-4 mile run and I’ve definitely gotten leaner but I’m now trying to add in more strength training, and so I feel like I should be getting protein after my workouts.

Any advice on where to go from here appreciated too!

How would you rate your ratios for work, play, and rest?

My life's mostly been 85% work/serious stuff (includes academia), 10% rest, and 5% play.

I've only started to learn to rest more this year and learning to accept lower productivity (was part of the hustle culture).

Q: How do I learn the concept of play? Didn't have that in my childhood growing up. All serious, no fun. Has anyone transitioned successfully?

I feel like a boring, old lady 😔😒

What is your definition of play?
