About to interview tomorrow for a account manager position with up to 50% travel. I would be about an hour from the job plus it’s in a different state. Any questions I should ask regarding salary and commute?

A male coworker sent an email mocking the way Black people talk. I know there's no one black way of speaking, but hopefully you get it. AAVE. I wanted to call him out but he's a POC (not Black) and I'm not sure if this is OK as a white woman. Adding to that, he and I are not on friendly terms, in part because of stuff like this. Job base salary presented by HR during screening interview was $130-$145k. I have 3-5 years more experience and more education compared to the posting requirements (BA required, I have a MS). I love the position and what it entails, but was hoping to reach $150-$160 base salary. If offered the position, is this a reasonable ask? This is for big pharma, data analytics in New England.

I was just offered an RN II position at Stanford Hospital’s B3 unit for $84/hour. Are there any RNs out there who can tell me what it’s like working on the unit and if it’s worth leaving my job for? I love my current job, my schedule and the people. I have no problems with it except that it’s 1.5 hours away from my family and it pays $25/hour less than Stanford.

Also, do you think it’s too late to ask if I can visit the unit before I make my decision? Thanks in advance.

I've been working in the NHS as an orthopaedic surgeon for over 10 years. I have recently made the transition over to industry working for a pharmcovigilance and certification body TUV SUD.
