How would you know if your infant hates daycare?
Is the elvie or willow really worth it?
Ok so for everyone who says they can work from home while watching their kids, they have built this for you. For $5500 it can be yours, compare that to the price of daycare! You’ll be saving money and the boss can’t see your kid on the webcam with this setup. https://www.demco.com/tmc-family-workstation

I loved the Happy Baby brand of organic formula for both of my kids. They make it taste like Mommy's milk.
We got Natures One from Whole Foods

I used Earths Best. My pediatrician recommended it since it’s organic and my little guy loved it. They sell it at Walmart, HEB, Target, etc. They have diary free if you need it. It seems to be on par quality-wise with Holle and other European brands.
This is causing my son to be gassy. Any suggestions?

We went with gerber good start the orange cans. You’ll want a formula mixer. We had the dr browns formula pitcher mixer. That worked wonders. Also a bottle warmer if you don’t have one already!
I’ve heard the baby brezza (like a Keurig for formula) is worth every penny!
Get a formula pitcher or if your baby is finicky like mine was, Baby Brezza for a fresh warm bottles.
People have done a lot of research on European brands like Holle
I went with holle goats milk powder formula. They also have cows milk. No issues shipping and there are quite a few distributors. I order in bulk to lower overall cost as well. I’d get one box first to make no issues. We are currently breastfeeding and supplementing with formula during the day, no digestion issues going between the two. Started at about 5 m/o, now 7m/o.
We went with Aldi’s brand of similac. Very budget friendly and baby had no issues.

We used target brand.

FWIW my doctor recommended we start with the most basic formula and shift as necessary.
I used Similac. Never bothered with warmers or other gadgets. I hear some babies are fussy with brands my neither of my kids cared. Hopefully whatever brand you go with your baby can tolerate.
We used Similac Advance and had no issues. Also used Happy Baby every once in a while. Just make sure you read the label and ensure there is no high fructose corn syrup. I accidentally bought the wrong kind of similac once, read the label and saw corn syrup and threw it away. First ingredient should be lactose. You don’t need a mixer, use room temperature water and your baby will get used to it and it will be way lower maintenance than using a mixer and giving it warm. I read a ton about the European brands and didn’t feel comfortable buying since they aren’t FDA approved, not regulated or quality control checked here and you’re buying it from less reputable stores/dealers. But I do know a ton of people in NYC who use Holle.
Start with a basic formula. If baby does fine on it, great. If after a couple weeks more is coming up than staying down, switch. My baby had a lot of reflux issues and we ended up with one that she kept down great, but was more expensive and (added bonus) I could only find at a couple stores. If I wanted the bigger can, I had to order online from the manufacturer. (*disclaimer* talk to your pediatrician if you end up switching formula. Sometimes they have free samples. Sometimes you can get free samples from the manufacturers too)
European formula only. Either Lebenswert or Loulouka.
There’s a good source called gimmethegoodstuff.org. They have a detailed discussion on various formulas with pros and cons and also rate the formulas. US ones often contain a lot of ingredients that really shouldn’t be part of a baby’s diet. However, a couple of years ago NYT published an article (widely believed to be sponsored by the US manufacturers) outlining a bunch of points why European formula is a no go. Tbh the most intelligent argument there was related to the supply chain (like how is this formula transported to the US, is care taken to make sure it’s not compromised by being exposed to the temps outside of the suggested range), which is a fair comment. I used one of the suppliers from the Good Stuff which was also used by a bunch of my friends. When my supply dwindled around 8 months, we tried Lebenswert, Holle and Loulouka and my son responded best to Lebenswert. I also didn’t really want to use Holle bc it was rated lower than the other two. I hope this helps! Happy to chat further. I’m based in nyc and all of my friends who couldn’t nurse until one because the supply dropped after returning to work used European formula.
Nature's One Baby's Only organic formula is the next best thing in the US to the European brands. We always did the whey dairy version. You can order it from their website or Amazon, or in store at Whole Foods.
