Yea but I wish you would take some of them back because everyone I've worked with from PwC is awful. Either lazy or terrible management style. Probably weren't getting promoted at pwc so they jumped ship.
People actually leave PwC for EY? I thought it only went the other way.
I think you can but you have to be at the firm a year first to be able to take advantage of the 16 weeks so you'll need to time baby's arrival to be right after your one year mark...
Fair point. I really like working with people EY trained. They are usually rock solid, and only left for better pay.
I think it depends on the office too. I left EY but my old partner wouldn't have been understanding or accommodating about having a baby. Make sure you're joining a nice/normal team. I found EY had a lot less flexibility than pwc has.
Nobody has kept women from maternity leave or men from paternity leave in my experience. And a handful of women have used vacation consecutively. McLean, for reference.
I've never heard of anyone from staff to senior managers having an issue with maternity/paternity leave and flexibility. I think your old partner was an asshole, but most likely the exception at EY. EY is shoving these benefits down our throats so I find it hard to believe you would have an issue using them.
With short term disability and parental leave you get 22 weeks. You can use vaca after that to add on

The email we got the other day about the change said that "all primary caregivers who have been with the firm for one year will be eligible for up to 16 weeks of paid parental leave" and it starts effective July 1. I was at another firm before that new parents weren't given parental leave since they hadn't been there for a year but could be different. I'm not too sure how it all works since that's a far off future for me.
