Has anyone ever asked to renegotiate their salary after starting a job? I’m 2 months into my new job and I have far more responsibilities than what I was told. It’s a lot different than what was relayed in the posting and during the interviews. Additionally, they hired my counter part in as a senior manager which is at least $30k more than what I make. My peer has more experience so I expect that but I feel that I should be paid more, however I don’t want to leave a bad impression… any advice?
I had a first round phone interview with a hiring manager last Friday (one week ago). I felt it went well. Is it okay to email the recruiter to see if there is an update? Or is it better to just wait?
I gave interview of Nagarro and got selected and now Nagarro has send me some goodies like coffee mug, chocolates and cookies.
I am not sure whether I will join this company or not.
If you don't join then do we return it and how can I return?
Has anyone recently had an interview with Deloitte through HireVue? Would you mind sharing your experience? I have one on Friday and a Case Study as well. All feedback is welcomed!
I’m entering (what I hope) are the final steps in the interview process for an analyst role at Macquarie Group. I’ve already interviewed with the Director that I would be reporting to, along with another director that works closely with the group, and have received positive feedback from both. I submitted my psychometric assessment over the weekend. Any insight into what I can expect for these final two interviews?
What are people wearing to zoom interviews these days? I have a couple with PE firms coming up and I’m not sure if I should go with the athleisure look or full on suit and tie?
Have a personality assessment before my interview at a fund. Are there ways to “pass” these?

Does anyone know what the Senior Analyst Product Manager interviews at Capital One are like?
I have cleared the interview for a Software Engineer at JP Morgan. Wanted to know about the work life balance and learning opportunities. How is the work? Do people help each other? Is the workload too much?
All answers would be appreciated!
If you were offered a role at a company where there was little to no diversity within the group you were interviewing for (not even at the level you were interviewing for, or at senior leadership level) would this be a red flag for you in terms of culture, & potential opportunities? I want to keep an open mind but this company has been around for 20 years. The people I interviewed with were great but im concerned that there’s a larger problem at play. Thoughts?
I just graduated from university with a BS in Computer Science. The only work experience I have is fast food. Should I put this work experience in my resume, even though it isn’t relevant to the Software Engineering positions for which I’m applying? Also, if I should exclude this work history, what should I put in its place?

Hi! Recently discussed an associate graphic designer role with a recruiter. Is it reasonable to expect an 85k base in NYC? Am I underselling myself? They started with it being a 75-80k budgeted position. What are typical base salaries for someone with 4.5 ttl YOE? Does it matter that 3 YOE was in an adjacent industry?
Hey startup people, I’m here to promote a “business roles at startups” panel I’ve organized. It’s part of a speaker series that aims to help young professionals/recent graduates navigate job changes and explore some of the most popular business-related career options out there (product management, product marketing, investing, etc. ). More details on the startup panel as well as the other panels in the comment section!
Having run a retail business outside of this, it's funny to me how much the firm talks about 'understanding our cross line of service offerings' while never actually talking about or teaching sales.
Any reference for Accenture would be welcome.

Decided to get my MBA later than most. Joined MBB after, but found the post-MBA role a lot more junior than I was expecting. I want to jump to a BizOps, strategy, or project management role somewhere else. What levels should I be targeting? I have 1 year of MBB but 10 yoe total In project management and internal strategy
Do people take a pay cut when moving from MBB to tech?

Anyone know if any Tech/FAANG companies hiring in Sourcing and Supply Chain management roles?
Are there any companies that have specific roles for recent grads with around a 1 yoe? Everything seems to be for current students or multiple yoe. Really interested in BizOps if that’s a possibility.
I'm interested in pivoting toward VC / corporate VC (e.g., Google Ventures, Amex Ventures), but don't think I have the right experience. What can I do over the next ~2 years to bridge that gap?
Current experience: 7 years in risk / product structuring (part of the trading desk) pre-MBA (top 15 undergrad), 5 years across consulting and internal strategy post MBA (top 15 MBA).
Why is leaving for Microsoft not seen as good as FAANG? I’d argue Microsoft is probably better than Netflix at the minimum
Recruiter reached out for EY S&T Decision Modeling and Economics. Non EYP. Anyone in this group or related groups and willing to shed some light? Thanks!
Finally got an exit offer from tech (Non-FAANG) 6 YOE 107k —> 230 TC…can’t be happier to get out of consulting
If I get referred for a role at Goldman Sachs, but see two roles that fit me, can I still apply and will the referral carry over to both? Or will that look bad? Or should I apply and wait and see what happens with the first position?
I got an offer that includes base, bonus and equity of 80k each year, fully vested each quarter. I’ve never had equity before, does this mean every quarter they just give me 20k worth of stock I can sell? Or is it a pre determined number of shares that could be less than the 80k I was told. I feel like there’s gotta be a catch here I’m missing and im not just gonna pocket 80k (minus taxes) each year on top of base/bonus
Anyone knows of opportunities consulting or supply chain and operations in Latin America? I would love for an opportunity to work outside of the US
I’ve heard some anecdotal stories about consultants leaving MBB and starting their own consulting LLC catering to PE (either doing diligence or other strategy work) and that it can be quite lucrative. Has anyone in this bowl done it who can share lessons learned, the basic economics, and watch outs? I’m curious about exploring the real details further as the autonomy appeals given my current stage of life.
Does the 2 week notice equate to 10 working days ie exclude holidays?
Thinking about how to give my notice for a new job that starts in the new year, my current firm closes between Christmas and New Years so would I actually need to give notice 2 weeks before Christmas if I’m being polite?
Is corporate strategy a good exit opportunity? (I think my experience translates well into those roles but I’m not sure what follows after corporate strategy other than VP, etc.) Thanks.
Has anyone here ever made the jump from consulting to an industry they had no experience in?
If so, how was the learning curve for you? Was there anything you wish you did that would have made the transition easier?
🐠 - looking to apply to Big Tech from Big Four, do they only consider YOE after undergrad? Held a job throughout college that was aligned to the industry I’m currently in (Healthcare), felt that experience was valuable and shouldn’t immediately be discredited. TIA!
