Accenture 🐠, can you help explain the different roles and their typical seniority levels? - Client Account Lead - Client Group Lead - Market Unit Lead - Senior Client Executive I would expect a CAL manages an account relationship and report into a MUL, but I see there are a few aligned to geographies. Just trying to understand the organisation structure better. Thanks.

From my understanding, it isn't totally consistent. As you probably know, there are 4 levels of MD - Executive (L4), Senior Executive (L3), Director (L2), and Senior Director (L1). Specific roles incorporate those levels (e.g. Client Account Executive vs. Client Account Director are both CALs at different levels). To your point, CALs and DCALs typically manage a single account (or even a portfolio on a very large account). I've seen Client Group Leads (e.g. Client Group Executive, Client Group Director) manage multiple accounts or have supervisory responsibility over an industry segment, although less common with NGGM. Market Unit Leads do exactly that - they manage the specific market unit, which is geographically defined. Hope this helps.

Something’s been weighing on my mind. I messed up in a steering committee & tripped infront of the Sr. Client Stakeholders. I made a few other mistakes and was rolled off by my manager (SM) b/c I sucked and it was a higher burn engagement he needed a stronger BA. Now I find out he might’ve been laid off and I can’t help but to think it was my fault. We never really talked after this engagement but I feel like it’s my clumsiness that him fired and it makes me feel guilty and give a me anxiety.

How do you deal with someone who consistently doesn’t contribute to a project that’s supposed to be a shared? I like him as a person but this has now been 2 months of me & my senior strat doing all the work while this other guy rarely contributes because he claims to be busy. I think my boss finally saw this - last time he had us take ownership of various parts, he didn’t even bother adding this dude but I still waste time waiting for him to respond, says he can meet then doesn’t, etc.

Thoughts on Dentsu Aegis? I've received an offer for a role (promotion) and thinking about whether it is a sound move - especially in this environment. They went through furloughs and pay cuts in April due to COVID. I'd be making the move from EY which is a great company to work with - but there is such a long line up to get a promotion, and for roles I've interviewed for internally I get the good ole - you were awesome and it was rly close, but someone was just a better fit.

I’m in a small, close knit bar. I love my firm (not biglaw) and the people I work with but I really, truly hate billing hours. I am interviewing with a boutique firm that does not track billables and has a great rep for work/life balance. I’m excited at the prospect of more $ for less time, but will also feel guilty to leave my firm after they spent significant resources over the past few years “raising” me, only to lose me. Tell me I’m being silly and that this won’t burn bridges.

I’m just throwing this out there and I think it might be a common thought. I’m a mom of two (ages 5 and 3) and work full time out of the house in government making $103K. Job is not flexible in that it’s 8-5 with an hour lunch break butt in chair in the office work. Zero options to deviate or work from home. I have a 30-40 minute commute each way. I’m tired of feeling like the rat race and like I’m just paying someone else to hang out with my children. Anyone else feel like that?
