It's against policy but loosely enforced
Already told you it's out of policy
I only use my WBS for flights. Everything else is either on my SPG Amex or CSR. E.g. Uber rides, hotels, etc.
No one has ever enforced it on my projects. I'd say just use your CSR until someone says something. Ask for forgiveness later :P
Also sorry about making this a semi-CSR post 😅
As A4 said, use a WBS for flights. For everything else, use your personal card. I've never been questioned for not using the corp Amex.
Just make sure you don't use it for flights
Technically yes. But he's just being a jerk cuz nobody cares. You pay the bills yourself from a reimbursement so it shouldn't matter.
Use your corp Amex for rental cars too. If there's an accident, better to have it all on corporate funds.
Just don't go around talking about it in front of leadership. That's the only time when I've run into people enforcing the Amex rules
Only a real asshole cares about this policy. Unfortunately, my old SM was an asshole.
What about for flex travel? Do we need to use our amex for that?
Yes
Okay thanks for the info everyone! I have never needed to expense anything before but my next project will be a traveling one so just wanted to make sure this was clear. I'll probably use my CSR and see how long I can stay under the radar haha
Yeah and don't ghost hours, that's out of policy too...
Yeah and only use a training wbs or pto when on the bench.
An MD told me they go back and audit your expenses before you make MD. Don't want to break the policy because it's just a self inflicted headache. But, unless you are track to become an MD soon, probably no issues. I haven't had one and I put all my starwood stays on my SPG amex for the last 5 years.
I would recommend using the Corp card for flex travel because they can be a little more strict when it comes to flights. But it's probably fine no matter which card you use
I received one nasty gram from acn in over 10 years about not using corporate card. I had one partner complain at dinner but i knew her and busted her balls for being a stickler for the rules.
Use your csr
