Deloitte question. I have always gotten a raise each year, the only question I ask is how much of a raise do I get. But I’m hearing from former Deloitte folks, it is naive to expect annual raises each year however small/big they are? And how does this play in Deloitte consulting vs advisory? Do one tend to withhold annual raises in base salary over the other, or is this just a deloitte culture thing? Looking at exit opportunities all over. So lmk! I’d Rather get a small raise than none at all.

I don’t know, but I do know that I make a lot more than my friends at Deloitte. Small sample size, I know. But, my understanding was Deloitte pays less and compensates with larger bonuses.
Accenture lays better in numerous cAses, including my own!
When the offers landed for me out of undergrad, Accenture paid over 10k more than Deloitte. That, and their digital and design practices are significantly better than Deloitte's in our city (Toronto).
Na, this last month I got an offer from Deloitte and it was $10k+ lower all in than my Accenture offer
Spent a lot of time at Big 4 in my career and Accenture May pay less on average, but I’m not working 100 hour weeks anymore and I am not fearful of getting stabbed in the back like at a big 4 firm.
Agreed. I’m so happy at Accenture, honestly. And I’m very happy with my salary. I don’t know about the big 4, but I do know that all of my colleagues and leadership have my back and support me here. And for the most part, my WLB has been great.
My base salary here is $160k as a homegrown non-MBA Consultant, definitely making way more here than I would at Deloitte
I have access to Deloitte and Accenture salary surveys and when I looked at it home grown vs home grown it looked pretty even to me.
I don’t know what region but New England salary is hit or miss compared to D usually 5k diff in base. I know Accenture pays bigger sign on bonus tho.
From what I hear ACN gives strong offers and then poor raises. They will usually salary match a competitive offer.
I can vouch for that big offer (small raise)! But I did negotiate every last penny out of them coming in the door.
Any Accenture referrals, little over 6 YOEs: 4.5 in Big 4 and 2 in a middle market firm ..?
