Lots of deals happening in the federal space. Should make for interesting times in the coming years.

And Accenture has a federal practice, so that makes sense.

Why is that going to be interesting? Genuinely asking as someone who has no idea.

Novetta has lots of talented programmers and data scientist that consulting firms have had issues recruiting and keeping. Additionally, Novetta has lots of systems of record in the IC that Accenture will acquire giving them a pretty strong foothold. I am interested to see how the product side will work out

Last week team dynamics took a turn for the worst (even tho in each retro the team always commend each other, you would think team work is great). So after researching my salary is very competitive compared to the market

I am on mat leave and wanted to cut my leave for financial needs. I got an offer outside my company which offers me almost 20k more, but not sure if I really enjoy the work like I do with my current. I got a Boston Consulting Group employee to refer me. Got the referral link instantly but I can't seem to see any AC roles on the Job posting site. My link was some brassring referral link and it had some 807 openings but no AC roles. I have reached back to my contact to figure out what's up with this. Solo designer in a consulting firm of around 50ppl . My +1 is a head of departement that is not linked to design. He’s gathering briefing, discussing money and planning then throw at me work to do « asap ». Results is often quickly pushed, and poor quality of work. I have two offers:
-$165k with a City of New York agency
-$130k plus $5k signing bonus with

I feel ho-hum about the government job because I’ve been doing it for so long, and also the option for hybrid work is uncertain. But the salary and benefits are obviously appealing.

PTO Dilemma: I have over 100 hours of PTO remaining from hours carried over from last year that must be used before 12/31. I scheduled out days to use the hours. However, when I put my scheduled PTO in the Utilization Tracker, and include the Thanksgiving holiday and the Collective Disconnect days, I end up below my utilization target. How is that possible? Is it me or is there really something wrong with how utilization is calculated?-

I've seen a BA in international affairs with 5 YOE end up as the "chief product officer" for a $30M organization with no technical or product (rather than program) mgmt experience. Another Director for AI ($5B org) with a BA in poli sci and no technical experience/education either.

Messed up my public trust eqip. Forgot to list an expunged alcohol charge using a fake id I had in college four years ago bc it was expunged. Spouse is a state department employee and currently overseas. I’m a manager with three years of experience in consulting and 8 years of experience in the military where I left as a O-3 (GS-12 equivalent). SO wants me to take a non-negotiable family member hire role at the embassy overseas for one year so we can co-locate. Job sounds interesting, but is a non-negotiable GS-6 equivalent.
