Accenture leaders, what sort of results and behaviors do you expect to see from a Consultant pushing for Sr. Consultant, and Sr. Consultant pushing to Manager? Thanks!

The progression is analyst - sr analyst - consultant - manager. Sr Consultant is a level, but I think it’s only used for CD&O (delivery roles - not true consulting) and for MBA hires in consulting roles.

Generally looking for ability to lead teams and direct effort of others, building relationships with and receiving good feedback from clients, and participating in +1s (eg practice development or BD or other contributions to the company)

Disclaimer I’m not a leader but am up for promo from C-M

Ive seen it, it’s rare and usually backed up by many years of experience outside of Accenture, like they were hired in at the wrong level.

I expect someone who delivers well, leads a team inside or outside of their project, gets decent feedback from their teams (reports matter too) and who is engaged in the practice, knows some basic financials and has a decent level of engagement with clients.

I joined EY for their Risk Consulting practice because I wanted to break into consulting. I hope to get a top MBA sponsored as well. I hear from my colleagues that Risk isn’t considered the same as consulting and it’s not as valued for a top MBA...is this true?
